Confirmed. RIP Darlan.

So Sad.

He was swinging coming to the last and would have won going away.

It's really, really sad. He was and would have been an awesome horse. People are blaming AP on the RP site for pushing him into the hurdle, but I don't know which race they saw but what I saw was a fairly inexperienced horse guessing at the hurdle and sadly landing on his neck. I really hope he didn't suffer, from the little you could see his fate was sealed on impact. I hate this sport sometimes. You really have to feel for McCoy... Valiramix, Gloria Victis, Best Mate (to a certain extent), Synchronised and now this guy, it would make anyone else question their reasons for being in the sport. I hope the whole team pull through this. :( :(

Deepest commiserations to JP, Nicky, AP and all concerned. Very exciting young horse, very sad :-(

I'm still in such shock after this. It really hasn't sunk in, I can't imagine how the team are feeling this morning.

Really can't recommend this website enough, some brilliant previews on there for the Cheltenham Festival and some written by myself.
