If any horse deserves the big win it's him and his trainer, DOW ran a hell of a race.

The biggest shock for me was the average pace, I thought they would blitz it.

That was a race! DOW ran like a winner. Will Take Charge justified the big money. Mucho Macho Man got the mile and a quarter which I worried about. Palace Malice made a run but flattened out.

Anyone know why they ran the Turf Mile on the dirt???? Did you see that turf and those times?

Yes, too fast for Olympic glory, and I would say that looking at the sectionals it would appear that wise dan kept up the fast pace right through the race, I'd love to see him in the Queen Anne. However, it's also yet more proof that a change is needed for champions day, as championship races run on heavy ground will never transfer well to the world stage, and that it either needs to be moved earlier, which would both deteriorate the quality being before the arc, and would now be impossible with the new Irish end of season championship weekend, or move it to another course such as Newmarket where there is consistently better ground, which is the only viable option.

Also with regards to Magician, while he was very impressive, I wouldn't put any money on him getting a mile and a half in England as particularly on the downhill course and with the firm ground as well, it's much more like a mile and two in England. It's a shame he hadn't been seen since ascot, but he will be a horse to watch for next year.

Very good breeders cup for Ballydoyle, will be made up with DOW effort in the classic, great effort.

Was on The Fugue in the turf, she got the race won but was just caught in the dying strides, glad to hear she could well be staying in training next year.

Bold statement by Ryan Moore who said Magician has to be one of the best horses he has ridden. Hopefully he will stay in training too.

Not really sure what angle your coming from there. In all fairness she has had her fair share of bad luck, Look at last years Breeders cup race. Boxed in with nowhere to go, ran on for 3rd (Jockey fault maybe?). Last night she ran her heart and out and got collared on the line by a stunning performance from Moore and Magician. She has shown in the Nassau last year, the Yorkshire Oaks and Irish Champion this year just how good she is and im delighted she will be kept in training as she's my favourite flat horse.

Glad to lead you into the right Mizdirection. Man, I was afraid of Magician. I thought he'd lead most of the way. Quite an effort.

The Classic photo finish for all who may have missed it.

Thanks for posting Sirius, I was knackered by the end of the classic so didn't see the photo. What a brilliant race that was.
