he idled in front a bit for me he was always going to win but didnt look good in a sense that he never cruised up and sprinted away. i think he'll be a better horse over 12f. poet seemed to get a easy lead went 10 clear and only one to run it down was workforce nice g3 for poet some time after that performance.

just watched video on racingpost website
wow he had to throw the kitchen sink at him to beat poet
think it pales into insignificance compared to so you thinks g3
i am suprised how hard he had to work to win the race
it looks like 1m2f is too short for him no chance would he beat syt
over this distsnce and i dont think over 1m4f but stand to be corrected

He will have needed the run, and should improve. In his first race last season he lost to Cape Blanco by over 3 lengths in the Dante, but then came back to win the Derby and Arc. It should also be noted that tonight's race was a much higher quality Group 3 than the one that So You Think won (the highest-rated opponent SYT faced was rated 105, while all seven of Workforce's opponents were rated higher than 110, and he beat all of them except Poet pretty easily).

I agree with Mikey though, he's a better horse over 12f, so if the two horses are going to clash this year it might be a case of SYT having to be stepped up to 12f, as I'm not sure they will take him on over 10f when they have nothing really to prove.

Remember SYT ran a huge race in the melbourne cup over 2m after running the previous weekend? Glad workforce won purely again as Ryan said to get a better price on SYT, So You Think will dispatch Workforce with ease... Even over 12f

My thoughts on the race here: http://tmarchhorseracing.blogspot.com/

I have to say i am still very firmly in the So You Think camp. I think this horse is the real deal, an absolute monster machine.

Workforce will beat SO You Think 5 lenghts. SYT couldnt beat Jan Vermeer 12 lengths off a ridiculously slow gallop, Workforce did. Take Poet out the race and it was massively impressive

No arguments but I would like to see workforce even get by So You Think, this horse is a monster, Workforce won a solid G3 giving weight away but I still think SYT would run it into the ground, SYT would be gone and hosed up before workforce would even be able to get going!!! SYT would destroy it over 10, over 12 would be closer but SYT would still have the edge, SYT destroyed class aussie horses such as whobegotyou and has won going away in most of it's races, if workfoce put a challenge in, I could see SYT just toy with him and then pull away easily....

so you think has never raced against jan vermer so your point is floored
poet is not much of a yard stick anyway but we are all entitled to our opinions even when they are wrong jan vermer would not get in ballydoyles top
5 1m2f horses and poet was sold by coolmore because he was adverage i think syt would have won that workforce race without coming off the bridle
