Re: Favourite and least favourite racecourses
Never been to Newmarket but it doesn't look that great unlike Cheltenham does for the home of jumps.

I just love how you respond. Find it funny. Did you also know More Of That was going to miss Cheltenham, just like Champagne West, but kept it a secret again?

More Of That isn't going to miss Cheltenham as of yet. Decision to be made nearer the time.

Re: Favourite and least favourite racecourses
Enough!!
Back to the topic. If you don't have views on your favourite or least favourite racecourses then please don't post.
With regards to mine; I sadly haven't been to many but my favourite would be Huntingdon; generally mediocre racing and many of the public facilities could do with renovating and updating, but it's a lovely friendly course where you can get close to the action and isn't hard to find your way around. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and the food is good.
Least favourite would be Sandown; it's small, too many people, you're miles away from the action unless they're on the chase course and there's some great racing but other than it being a free day out for me and getting to see some of the greats (Kauto, Denman, Sprinter Sacre etc) I didn't enjoy it that much.
With regard to Newmarket, it's a funny place. The Rowley Mile has been described as a 'concrete jungle' but if you know where to go you can get really close to the horses and the racing. (i.e. sticking close to the pre-parade ring and watching the racing near where they go out onto the course) It has a great atmosphere on the big days which can sometimes be spoiled by people bailing early because of the bitter cold.
The July Course gets a really weird crowd with the Night's and the 'family' days and it think can really lack atmosphere with so many people there who have never seen a horse before, but you can get closer to the horses and the action. It's small and can get really cramped and sometimes has a rather strained atmosphere. The staff are friendly and mostly knowledgeable.
I'd say it's worth a visit, but I would go to the Rowley Mile for a proper racing experience and to experience the staff at their best and the July Course for a family day out, but go early on in the season, by August everyone is desperate for a break and are often rather strained.

Re: Favourite and least favourite racecourses
I also like how you avoid what I ask each time. Its an art.
Id be very doubtful he'll run, bleeding four weeks before the World Hurdle. It could be a number of things which caused him to bleed, he may get away with one week off but that's best case and then you have to get him race fit in two weeks without bleeding again.
Getting back on topic. I wasn't that impressed by Longchamp and can see why they are knocking it down.
