This is one hell of a race this year. Will be a hard race to get right but I will try.

Hartnell - Has my favorite angle coming into this. Speed in his first race back. Big rally in his second start. Big man on campus James McDonald riding. Longshot with a big chance.

Preferment - Has returned to top form in his last two starts and appears ready to run another good race. Trainer Chris Waller has some sort of magic potion  when it comes to the biggest races.

Fawkner - His second and third races back were very impressive. Especially for an 8yo. Last race looks like a prep. Question is if this race is a Melbourne Cup prep.

Criterion - 1 for 1 with Michael Walker on board. That is the big key for me - does Walker push all the right buttons on him? We'll find out.

Winx - Such an exciting horse. A late rally of the highest quality. These may prove too tough and her propensity to find trouble in a race plus the inside post are against her.

Cox Plate For this year as siriuschill said, it's a hard race to bet on, but I managed to do away $50 for tomorrow and that's what I wagered on,

$10 win & $10 Place on the Cleaner
He will try to lead all the way but he will set the pace hard this time around and by god the horse is ready to have the race of his life.

$10 Quinella Boxed "The Cleaner, Fawkner, Winx Cost of $30 for 10 units

if the Cleaner happens to win tomorrow, a slab of VB and 6kg of lamb chops and not to forget 4 kg of chicken drum sticks and 4 kg of chicken wings on the BBQ just to annoy the neighbours with the gorgeous smell, lol

I Can see it being a euro 1 2 think Highland Reel's Form line is rock solid i backed him before the draw
got a plum draw will be up with the pace think he will go on and will be hard to stop if all goes according to plan

Bondi Beach looked great when working at Werribee think he will run big in the MC

Going head and head with The Cleaner would be a huge mistake. The Cleaner is one of the purest speedballing frontrunners you will ever see. It's always fun watching him to see how far he can take his speed.

Good omen for REEL

ok - I have backed Happy Trails in the Cox Plate - did look at taking a Quinella - but as stated above it's a wide open race and the internationals I know nothing about and I'd rather look and see if they can handle the tight turning Valley track.
So I have just stuck with the Happy Trails E/W

Dare I say best horse in the world? I do. Winx is just a joy to watch. Well done. Showed improved speed today that I didn't think she had. I posted here right after she won the Theo Marks Stakes with a rally that was just incredible. Watch this race and tell me this horse isn't a great one. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VuiYGHVQqTU

Wow impressive brave effort by Reel just did not have the pace for it but a great effort will make a super 4yo if kept

That was very impressive - she brained them. Was lucky to have two Euro horses in front of her then having The Cleaner roll off the fence - but that is racing! Hugh Bowman may be asked to please explain the interference rounding the turn.
Special mare and a special win.

Very impressed with the winner, if only Arod could learn to settle!
