Re: Jumps Discussion
No More Heroes jumped superbly today, for a novice he is very classy and is surely the one they all have to beat in the RSA. It could be some race between him and More Of That who has an excellent Cheltenham record.
Nice to see Barters Hill win well today, much like Don Poli he can race lazily but he stays all day, surely the Albert Bartlett over 3 miles is his ideal race.

Re: Jumps Discussion
I was just having a look at the champion hurdle prices and I cant remember in my life time when the UK had such a poor bunch of hurdlers, we almost at the bottom of the barrel. We have some 4yo's a horse that's past it's best and a horse on the comeback trail.
Not only have we hit the bottom but there's just a lack of good hurdlers anywhere. In 7 group 1or2 hurdles this year there has been 41 runners, if there's one or two injuries before Cheltenham then god knows how many will turn up for the Champion. And yet there's plenty of good chaser's around.

Re: Jumps Discussion
I've watch all the Christmas jump racing and it's sprung to mind that there's so many big UK trainers out of form, I cant remember a time like this. Nicholls -Skelton- Pipe- Henderson- O'neill- Longsdon- Twiston-Davies all out of form. I couldn't back any of them at this moment. They talk about trying to save jump racing but over the next 7 days there are 13 AW meetings and 11 jump meetings, someone should tell them it's the jumps season. Just like C4 dumbed down racing so are the racing authorities, lets just turn our racing into AW racing and run non stop class 6/7 races. Bunch of Clowns, no wonder racing going to the dogs.

Re: Jumps Discussion
Interesting New addition to the national hunt Ranks ASPEN COLORADO An unraced Galileo Gelding he was a 2yo at Ballydoyle in 2014 but never got a run and was Purchased recently by JP McManus - Not many Galileo's go straight into bumpers I Can find only 3 WINDSOR PARK SWING BOWLER & SUPERSUNDAE. Managed to get him added to the Champion Bumper Market 33s with Paddy Power or 20s with BetVic Makes his debut tomorrow Sarah takes the ride and she has been doing very well in bumpers 3rd best bumper jockey in Ireland at the moment Behind Nina & leader Paddy Mullins Anyway I Have heard nothing about Aspen Colorado I just a small e/w interest in him

Re: Jumps Discussion
Is it me or is there very few juvenile hurdlers been out from the big stables. Just a handful from Hobbs, 1 from Henderson, a few from nicholls and maybe 4 or 5 from Mullins. Im sure there was more this time last year.
Also very dissapointing that Beat That is out for the season, a horse with real potential and seems like time is sliding away.

Re: Jumps Discussion
Very impressive from Aspen Colorado, looks like he's got bags of pace and will surely prefer better ground. Looks like he'd be able to go back on the flat aswell. Unsure on where they go now.

Re: Jumps Discussion
It looked a weak bumper but has one heck of a roll of honour Bookies gone way over the top after that now 10/1 Favorite for the Champion Bumper nice debut though and won a shade cosily will undoubtedly appreciate better ground roll on cheltenham

Re: Jumps Discussion
Joey on Aspen "“he won nicely. We thought he was a nice horse but didn't think he'd win like that and there was plenty of talk for horses in it. “He was in Ballydoyle as a yearling but was just immature and backward mentally. The bit of time has done him well and hopefully he can progress.“He's a nice horse, even to go jumping with next year and while he seemed to handle that ground, being a Galileo should be better on better ground.” “he'd probably have to have another run and we'd see then.about the Cheltenham bumper”
