The Ballydoyle horses (AVD Armory Tiger Moth Santiago Wichita & Magic Wand) who arrived safely in Australia last week will be urgently tested by Racing Victoria as a knock on effect of the contaminated feed situation which unfolded over the weekend.

Some bad news from the AOB camp. Looks like the injury can be managed and Wichita will be saved. https://www.justhorseracing.com.au/news ... PkU7BalQFc

Two AOB horses are in doubt for the Cox Plate - both suffering from lameness. https://www.facebook.com/7horseracing/p ... 642033702/

Re: Melbourne Cup Internationals 2020 - Anthony Van Dyck
I am upset this has happened - I haven't seen the race and I wont watch the replay. AVD was a class horse - I'm not sure of the thinking of starting it in the Cup with that weight. I think Bowman should have pulled him up when he wasn't responding at the 800m mark.
The Cup is the toughest 2 miles in the world - it's a Hcp, it's takes a special horse to carry the weight and in the modern age, horse's don't carry 58.5kg and win.
