Post subject:  Worldwide Trainers with 150 g1 wins
very hard to find these records online and i am looking to put a historical list together of
trainers with 150+ g1 wins heres how far i have got (not very far)

Europe
A.P.O'Brien 191

North America

Asia
Saeed Bin Suroor 166

Australia
TJ Smith 279
Bart Cummings 264


trainers who are close H.Cecil 141 M.Stoute 148

if anyone can help by adding to this list would be very greatfull
trainers living or dead with 150 group/grade one wins cheers

Vincent O' Brien got 140 I believe, I think you'll be stretching to find any others apart from maybe one from a far flung country like Turkey or something.

ya 141 i think Vincent got i heard there were 4 or 5 in australia gae waterhouse is one of them but cant find the stats on her g1 wins i am suprised that a usa trainer has not reached that landmark with the amount of g1's they have per season

The nearest Aussie to Cummings et al is Freedman on 124 and Waterhouse on 105. American Bob Baffert has well over 150 Major stakes wins but unsure on Grade 1's, I would expect him to be very close to 150 though, Bobby Frankel has the record for 25 G1's in one season and i'm sure is plenty nearer to 150 than most others. Charlie Whittingham had over 250 stakes wins and is most probably over the 150 G1 mark I would expect.
