What Meetings Or Courses Have You Been Too??
Just wondering where you lot have been to watch live racing in your time? Also, where would you like to go that you have not been already? My first meeting was the Epsom Derby 2001 when Galileo won. I was quite lashed in the end and don't remember much about it! After that I've been to Sandown for the Eclipse, Kempton on Boxing Day(Used to live ten minutes away!) and Ascot last year for the King George. Plus numerous little meetings at Lingfield, Windsor and Plumpton. I'd love to go the Punchestown Festival and Ladies Day at Royal Ascot, dunno why..... Can't beat a day at the races. I'd go every week if I could!

I've been to all the main tracks in Melbourne throughout the carnivals (which is where I live). Moonee Valley on Cox Plate day being my favourite. Ascot in Perth, Morphettville/Morphettville Parks in Adelaide, Randwick, Warwick Farm and Rosehill in Sydney as well as numerous country tracks. Suprisingly none in Queensland which is odd because we work closely with a trainer up there. I've also been to Clairefontaine, Longchamp and Chantilly in France.
Many of these visits have had to do with work.

I have been to many the biggest one was Aintree to watch the Grand National spent the three days in a holiday camp near by in southport also lived a mile from hereford so went alot other course are sandown, newbury.salisbury and chepstow i now live 20 mins from wincanton so i go often which i will again this saturday seen a few good horse's.
Saw Reference point on his 2yo race debut at sandown getting beat by richard fox on robaloma i think that was his name only time he got beat before winning the derby the following year but warning was the best horsde i ever saw when winning at Ascot.

Never been to a racecourse in my life, BUT would love to go. My top 10 choices in order would be: 1) Cheltenham Festival for the full 4 days. 2) Grand National meeting. 3) The Derby and Oaks at Epsom. 4) The Arc at Longchamp. 5) The Breeders Cup in America. 6) The Guineas meeting at Newmarket. 7) Moonee Valley. 8 ) Punchestown Festival. 9) Meydan for the Sheema Classic. 10) Ascot for the Gold Cup amongst others.

Meydan - First Dubai World Cup night held there 2010... Absolutely incredible

Re: What Meetings Or Courses Have You Been Too??
Dubai was incredible! Dad had a mate who lived out there, got to see the sights for that weekend, had premier tickets impeccable food and drink, access to paddock winning enclosure walkway, it's rammed full in the main stand but if you get premier tickets for only 40odd quid more there is all the space you could imagine, no hassle no bustling around! Amazing racing/entertainment. Only thing is no betting lol! had all my bets before I went had dar re mi at 10's Musir @ 6/4 and Gloria De Campeao at 16's which made it all that much better!! Plus I took 100 quid off loads of aussie work mates of my dad's pal in a sweepstake! The most unbelievable racing experience ever, If you get the chance DO IT!! Ascot/Newmarket are next on the radar that I haven't done, then Punchestown/Galway festivals then the big one for me is the Melbourne Cup, luckily my Aunty lives 10 mins drive away from flemington and my nan 5 min walk from Caulfield so hopefully have every chance of doing it if I can get over again soon!

I lived in Newmarket for 3 years - brilliant! Used to be woken up by the clip clop of horses going down my road to the gallops - seriously.
Have been to:-
Newmarket (of course)! Huntingdon Uttoxeter Leicester Chester Aintree Haydock York Newton Abbot Exeter

Nick; what tickets do you mean im going to the meeting this year and have just had a look at the website........the prices appear to be free for general admission....then 350AED (about £60) for an 'apron view' and then rising from there..... http://www.dubaiworldcup.com/dubai-worl ... -admissionCheers
