heres another interesting 1 Galileo's Girl 2-y-o (01Jan10 b f) Galileo (IRE) (11.1f) — Ouija Board (Cape Cross (IRE) (8.9f)) Trainer Ed Dunlop Owner ? another couple youngsters to watch out for in a couple years is english irish derby winner x irish yorkshire oaks winner Name: Galileo’s Peep Barn Name: Peep Age: Weanling Birthday: March 7 Gender: 2 Breed: Thoroughbred Height: Projected to be 16.3 hh Color: Chestnut Genotype: ee/AA Markings: Faint mark, right front coronet, left back stocking Bloodlines: Galileo x Peeping Fawn by Danehill Discipline: Turf racing Distance: Projected to be anywhere between 8-12 furlongs Temperament: He is an extremely curious colt who always want to explore new things. He has a high tolerance level and that is why he is Diva’s pasture mate. He also appears to have a real love to run which we believe will make him a fantastic racehorse. 4 times ascot gold cup winner x 3 times melbourne cup winner Name: Yeat’s Diva Barn Name: Diva Birthday: February 28 Gender: Filly Breed: Thoroughbred Height: Projected to be 15.2 hh Color: Liver Chestnut Genotype: ee/AA Markings: Irregular star Bloodlines: Yeats x Makybe Diva by Dessert King Discipline: Turf racing Distance: Projected to be anywhere between 10-16 furlongs Temperament: Well she certainly lives up to her name. While she doesn’t act wild like most of the other foals who act like they own the place she does like to strut her stuff. This has caused conflicts with her and Ouija before because feisty filly vs. a filly with a diva like personality doesn’t always go well together. So we started turning her loose with Peep instead. She is a good mannered filly who does love to run so we are hoping to get her to become a good racehorse and not bother her opponents too much. |

It was confirmed that she gave birth to her third foal on the 20th of February 2010, according to the info I have, and she seems to have been named Filia Regina, not Galileo's Girl, according to Ed's website. http://www.edunlop.com/horses-in-training.php?id=237 Maybe it will be different with a filly, but I don't get why they keep sending her to the sires that they do, given she has so much stamina on her side. The results so far, have just produced slow horses desperately in need of a trip, so I would have thought something like Dansili would have been a better pairing for the great racemare, but back to Galileo she went again last year. http://bloodstock.racingpost.com/news/b ... eo/839078/ |
