Hi all, just purchased the game yesterday after deliberating for some time. (Chose this over football manager 2015)
Ive just started an owner/trainer game flat/jumps and getting into it. Got 3 horses at the start one 2 year old is injured for 29 weeks and the other two were decent but was struggling for a winner so wanted rid.
Entered the 3yo in a sellers race which it finally won and I have obviously now lost it!
Few noob questions... how do I enter auctions because it kinda sucks with just 2 horses? Should I retire my injured horse (flat)? what is the best way of making money and not wasting it?
Thanks, OldGreasyOne

Re: New User
What I do is save the game straight away reload check your horses if they look moderate put them in Auction stick all your cash on Black Caviar the legend horse should be running soon in your game always win there are Auctions every seven days to buy some cheap horse.
If you like to cheat for big bucks reload after save look for Black caviars race save on day of race watch the race note the first two horses home quit the game without saving reload and put your cash on Reverse forecast until you run out the Forecast Pays bigger than a straight win.

Re: New User
After the racing on thursday is the best day for picking up horses at the auction.

Re: New User
Thanks for that.
Bought a decent 4 y/o with good breeding (never raced) at the auction but cant find many flat races for it? e.g. maidens
how can I get it qualified for handicaps if there are no maidens for 4 y/o +
thanks

Re: New User
You need to put your horse into a race, set the riding instructions to pacesetter.
It will finish tailed off and hopefully get a low rating. Dont ever put your horse into a conditions race.
good luck.

Re: New User
Thanks for the tips.
Is there anyway of discovering a horses potential stat without owning it?

Re: New User
Does potential stay the same or can it change. For example in real life some 2 y/o are very good but don't train on. Same the other way round can a horses potential get better than its absolute potential?
Buying horses is so difficult.
