Hi,

Am new to the forums, though have had the game for a while now and am interested in trying my hand in the league that I have seen maybe starting soon. Just thought I would stop by and introduce myself, interested to see if my top 5yo miler has what it takes :)

Welcome to the forum and also welcome to the league which will start sometime in March you will have a lot of fun and don't forget the league caters for all even if your horse's are not group standard or a Grade 1 Gold Cup Chaser horse both the Flat and Jump league caters for all standard of horses try your hand at both codes it's so much fun racing against other trainers.

Welcome Gith, nice to see more new faces.

I'll be new to the league too and just hoping not to finish last in most races. Not played any jumps so I'll be competing on the flat schedule but just hoping to have some fun with it.

You don't need to have played the NH game, just see if any of yours can jump in the CK and go for it. Some of your flat cast offs might make half decent jumpers, you never know.

Thanks for the welcomes.

All my jumpers are cast of flat horses, they have won a decent number of g1's between them. My early breeding colts had amongst them one who often gave me late developers hitting full around 5, too good to bin, but naff in their 3yo year. I have gradually been breeding this out of my lines, and the horse died in the barn at 16. Truth be told I can barely tell flat horses from jumpers presently, so they all get a shot in the first part of their 4th year unless they have smashed the 3yo season.

Totally expect to get beaten in the league, seem to have the game itself largely beaten on hard, new challenge makes it appealing.

That's the best attitude to have, the first season in the league can be eye opening. We all needed to have the first season to learn, in my first league season on So5 I won 3 races but I learned a lot and I learned what it takes and in my second season I won 98 races.

I love a challenge, I'm one of those people it's either 100% or it zero. Nothing in the middle. I think some people miss a trick with the league because most people just try the flat but actually the gamebred jumps horses are more competitive than the flat one's so it's easier/quicker to have better horses. A gamebred horse won the second season Cheltenham Gold Cup, to win a group 1 race on the flat u horse has to be Worldly/Outstanding.

Yes - although it seems like a simple game, the further you delve the more you find - but it is fun and the community is supportive :-)
