Breeding diary
Very early days in the game but here are my best homebred potential bars its very interesting that some game sire produce gun juveniles but their potential never goes up and some sires produce horses where the potential can drastically jump I'l keep you posted on my progress.
I'm on holiday from tomorrow til next Tuesday so wont be any updates after tomorrow til i get back

Re: Breeding diary
Just started to play the game (new patches) keeps breaking them so i've give on them for now so what do u think is the ratio of good horses to bad, what percent would give out horses to equal ability. So far 0 percent in my game

Re: Breeding diary
Hard to evaluate at this stage as I'm not going to the same sire alot I'm trying lots of different sires i did go to the same sire about 4 times and he failed to produce anything as good as him self out of the 4 3 were rubbish and 1 was around 15% under the sires ability early days though

Re: Breeding diary
I'm playing the jumps and in my first season I had a horse win the Arkle and finished the year with a rating of 158 and i've sent him to stud and he's one of the highest horses at stud and i'll be disappointed if on one sends any mares to him. The first years. Babies were very poor and i'm interested to see the percentage of bad to good horses. This is the first time i've played it and some of the screens are a bit disappointing and messy.

Re: Breeding diary
Have to say loving the in depth breeding side to the game Mark its a credit to you and this is right up my street. My main issue so far i have not been able to produce my own sire that is worthy of covering my mares so I'm using gamebred sires in a kind of trial and error way once I have worked out what a good sire is I just hope they stay in the game long enough for me to really make use of them I spotted 2 great sires and they died before i could really heavily support them at stud its class I love it and everyone should be happy because it aint easy at all I have not even trained an unbeaten horse yet in fact its tough to win G1s even with good bar horses.
In terms of the League I think its going to take even longer to produce a full team of horses and I'd be amazed if someone dominated the league ever again which is a good thing.
As I say its very early days I'm looking to create a sire that is at least level with Adriatic Queen or better no point sending a sire to stud unless they reach what I'm looking for.

The problem I think is after a couple of months our horses will be just to good for the computer horses and it will end up like the other games. The game needs a good-clever AI to be able to keep up and be smart enough to use our horses in the breeding bar.

I really think your misunderstanding this, player horses are no different to computer horses, they are all bred from game horses, there's no reason why player horses will improve beyond game horses.

Re: Breeding diary
Great Work Mark on the ttf you can only use a transfer once and once only you cant import more than one copy of the same horse into the same game this is what I think the majority have been looking for I'm delighted still means we can bring horses into jumps game but the hard grind of churning out horses is a thing of the past a HIGE thumbs up from me

I really think your misunderstanding this, player horses are no different to computer horses, they are all bred from game horses, there's no reason why player horses will improve beyond game horses. . Because the computer horses bars will go up, it's that simple. I had this outstanding gamebreed in SO6 and he was the best one I ever seen in any game but put him in the league and he would be very average but I wanted one of his babies in the league and I bred him with 5 of my mares and the best one I put in the league and it won a group 3 race and was placed in group ones. That should happen if the computer uses u horse after u have improved the bars. It's that simple. Let me explain in another way, u playing a shooting game and u get this gun and it's ok but when u get the extras it gets better well that's what suppose to happen when a computer horse goes to one of u better bars colts, it should get better.
