Post Breeding advice sought
Hi everyone,
I was just wondering how everyone approaches their breeding as I’m currently breeding a good book of 10 or so Group 1 winning mares with Group 1 stallions from the international stallions roster and having limited joy.

How do others approach their breeding? Do you look at Group 1 winning horses only? Do you try and match as close as possible their suggested breeding distances? How about ground preferences? Do you match these up?

What is important when selecting a stallion? I look at the horses with the most Stakes winners from their progeny and largely disregard stud fee and the number of Group races the stallion has won itself.

Any tips from anyone as I’m finding this quite frustrating.

Cheers

when you buy Look for their race winning times too if they are winning group races breaking course records or
even quicker than standard have a look at them

early on I'd snap up any G1 winner anyway

Cant really advise much more because i play league play

just stick with the sales for as long as you possibly can there is gold
in them there hills
