I believe it stands for Fertile or Fertility.

Depends on the colour. Green is good fertility, red is bad. For your own horses, the Head Lad will also talk about the horse's fertility.

Might be new, I was reading comments to see if the breeding horses were showing signs of a stable virus. They'll even say "unusually high" or "unusually low" too. If the indicators comes up on the stallions you want to breed too, it's probably a bad idea to use a red F stallion. I think it's only chance of pregnancy though, not quality of foal. Mark would have to confirm.

I have gotten a good quality foals off a red F stallions. I sent a green F mares to them, figuring my best chances of a foal at all were from the sort of mare "that gets pregnant if the stud just looks at her". I notice more needing to try the breeding again, but not seen all duds once they get in foal.
