As I've posted before, I'm a sucker for stayers - and always target the Melbourne Cup, Ascot Gold Cup and Prix Du Cadran with my saves. When I saw this mare at the sales, I thought she would make a handy addition to my breeding program. She's proved a little more than that, with her first three foals all winning the Melbourne Cup, and the eldest 'Okay Bomb' (bred with my first stud stallion) hacking up in the Gold Cup and Prix du Cadran. I can feel a staying dynasty brewing!

Make that four Melbourne Cup winners from her first five foals at my stable! This one made even more special due to the fact it was sired by my first game-bred Cup winning stallion Hungry Winner.
Bomb Chief was bred a little on the speedier side, and although taking the lead into the straight, faded to finish in 22nd. He did pick up the Irish St Leger, though to make it 5 from 5 group winners. I love this mare!
