I could be wrong, but, I don't believe you can. The only option as far as I'm aware is the end of day sale.

Right.

You can still sell the broodmare if you wish. Just transfer them back to the main barn, then enter them in the daily sale.

The only category that goes to special sale seems to be yearlings. If you put a yearling for sale from your yearling list, it gets entered in the next yearling sale on the sale schedule.
