I have seen posts of people complaining of their frame rate in race. So I found a little something that doubles my frame rate, and I thought I would share it in case it helps anyone. Fist off: for new player if you don't know you hit f in race to see frame rate displayed. This may not work for everyone, and it may be something that is specific to my machine. Who knows, but it is worth a try I think. I am running Steam version of game, and while game is running (can be on any screen, not in race, it just has t have the game already loaded and running in your league. Hit the windows key to exit to desktop. start your web browser (not sure if this step is really needed or not). Then go back into game. That is it. For some reason after I go to desktop and come back my in race frame rate doubles. It goes from 31 to 60 or 61. $0.02 due upon receipt of invoice. It might just be that my video card doesn't get optimized when starting game in Steam, and going to desktop and doing something optimizes it or something. |
