I don't read the forums much, so I was wondering if there's been an game update recently. I used to be somewhat competitive on my home games, but after starting a new game my homebred horses are garbage. I'm talking rating 30-40, last in every race. I got ONE decent racer out of my first litter of about six, and he was just a handicapper-level. Is this just bad luck? I started another new game to compare, and of my first batch the first two I've raced are also utter crap. Now, to be fair, they don't have great pedigrees as I've just started anew, haven't got great broodmares yet, with potentials around 65-75 for mothers at this point. Still, this is perplexing. Any thoughts, or do I just need to breed about 20+ each season to get a few decent ones?

Unrelated note- about 80% of my foals in one game have their mother's color. Again, maybe just coincidence.
