I recently bought a breeding mare. She is 7 years old. Her offspring seems strange.

I'm in Season 2, the first season was the form season.

She's had 4 x 2yo foals and 4 x 1yo foal.

How is this possible she can only have 1 foal per season? Or is it possible to have multiple foals?

Is this an oversight as it surely detracts from realism element?

This is a very common bug when starting a new save.

Once you get past the starting season(s) I find that the problem resolves itself. My main save is 96 seasons old and I don't see this bug anymore. I don't buy many mares at auction in this save but I did do a random check of 5 mares in other stables and found no occurrences of multiple foals.

I have another save of 17 seasons. Again doing a random check, it is only mares who were bred in the initial years before I started playing my save who have multiple foals. These mares are now very old and will probably soon be reired by the AI.
