| Post subject: | How to get more secondary nationality trainers |
Starting a game in UK with most of the outside races being in Ireland and USA but when I load a game, I am only getting 10 trainers/jockeys from the aforementioned nations and much more in nations like France and Japan. Is there any way to force more Irish and American trainers to appear on a save? |

I don't know about trainers and jockeys but you can get more horses from a nation by editing the schedule. It may be there is a correllation between the number of horses from a nation and the number of trainers. These entries at the top of the schedule can be altered using Notepad to include as many countries as you like. Also by altering the Pool size you get more horses in the save but it does make the save file much larger. [pool]18000 [fpoolperc]33 [secondary_nat]North America, Ireland, France I also think there may be a relationship between horses from nations depending on the number of races in the schedule from that country but have no definative proof of this. I have at least 12 feature races from Dubai, Japan, US, Ireland, South Africa, Hong Kong, Singapore in my schedule and there are hundreds of horses from each country in my save. I must admit I never loked at the jockeys when I raced horses in these countries. I just accept whatever jockey is automatically assigned. Don't even have a stable jockey. Edit: Just checked my save and there are 20 trainers\jockeys from the US and 10 jockeys\trainers from all the other countries. In the Programs x86\SO7\DB folder there is a list of trainers\jockeys by country. One thing I notice from these files, the UK entries are complete whereas the entries from other nations are not. Also, in a flat save, jump jockeys are not included. You could try assigning trainers\jockeys to stables in just one nation and see what happens. I am not a serious modder so don't know much about changing these files. Someone on the mods forum may know what to do. Here is an oddity, when I look at the list of trainers in Ireland, only 10 are listed but if I go to the list of top horses from Ireland, 17 trainers are listed as having horses. It may be that the numbers of trainers listed per nation is a fixed number and have no relation to the actual number of trainers in the save. An Experiment: Depending on the spec of your computer how long this takes, try adjusting the numbers at the top of the schedule, start a new save and advance 10 years. Instead of looking at the number of trainers list, look at the number of trainers who have the top horses for a country. |

Thank you, tried everything to no avail. Only success I had was by editing schedule in the game and adding Ireland as the secondary nationality - that gives me 20 trainers/jockeys for Ireland but unfortunately it doesn't seem to let me add USA and IRE. Played Starters Orders for ages and never noticed before, suppose my OCD is just getting worse
