Hi,

how many days before a race am I supposed to set the training on high or do a gallop to get the horse ready? I feel like I'm either to early or too late all the time....

Thank you in advance.

I would set the training to high about 2 weeks before the race. This should move the horse's colour from red to brown to green and be ready to race in time.

Alright, thank you very much.

How many maiden (or was it novice) races should I enter and which one next? And is there a maximum on races that you should do in a year or something? Don't want to over stress them.^^

On the fitness issue, wednesday is the only day you can get your horse fitness from brown status to green.

So, on the wednesday before the race, just one day of RED training is needed.

FLAT RACING - re Maidens - once you've won a race your horse can't run in any more maidens. You can however run in novices with a weight penalty.

JUMPS RACING - your horse can run in novice hurdles or novice chases all season without a penalty, and regardless of how many races you win.

Another interesting thing here, very good to know. Oh man, and I was trying a ton. 7 days....10 days....5 days....14 days.... oh man

Fine, fine.

I've read your horse can get a fitness boost by doing a gallop. But how many days before a race should they take part in a gallop? Also: is the training set on "red" required though?
