Post subject:  Transfer pool
Hi, I recently copied over my game files from an old PC to a new one and I've got my horses in the pool from the old computer but I can't seem to add new horses to the pool from the games on the new computer. The ttf file is the one transferred from the old PC. Anyone know how I can fix this? I've checked the permissions on the file and all the other basic stuff, to no avail.

Don't know how to add horses to an existing file if all the permissions are ok.

You could start a temporary new save and import all the horses from the ttf into that save and then export the horses to a new ttf file.

You then might be able to add horses from your main save to the new ttf file.

Just out of curiosity, did you just copy all the SO7 files, including system files, or just copy the documents\SO7 folder?

If you copied the system files, that will be why the ttf's are not working correctly. When using a new laptop\computer you must install SO7 from scratch. During a normal\scratch installation changes are made to a hidden windows file called the "registry". This does not happen if you just copy the system files over. This applies to all your program files for all the different programs you use. Always install from scratch on a new computer or you may find at a later date some function does not work correctly.

Thanks for your response, Jim.

Yeah, from what I can remember, I think I transferred everything over(to keep the mods and schedules etc. that I had in place).

It looks like I'm able to add to the pool by transferring horses from games that I've started on the new computer but not from the save files I transferred over, which should be okay going forward.
