My bad, you need to find his portrait in the gfx folder(portraits/1/jockeys>) and right click on it. Hit rename and correct the spelling to R Ffrench.

As long as you have edited the correct file name in gfx folder(portraits/1/jockeys>) to R Ffrench, his portrait should now show. Certainly shouldn't crash a game, -> check your work, then try a new game, should show up.

do not get as far as load page page go somehow i got a fonts file in everything pack maybe i move that by mistake where should i put that one thanks

Font folder needs to go back to C:/Program Files/Starters Orders 4>

Might be best for you to delete the everything pack you seem to have saved into C:/ after you have transferred what you want over from it, keep things tidier.

Exx,

Go to graphics folder, then bd folder and edit the last file, wp6, to whatever image you want.
In the game, after you hit start game, you'll see a scheme box bottom right, drop the background tab down and select user.

Ok, best to do this I think.
Delete the Everything folder from your computer. Uninstall SO4 and make sure no folders remain in either program files or program data.

Install SO4.
Install patch 1.05
Then download everything pack but save to desktop.
Go to C:/Program Files/starters orders 4 and delete the gfx folder.
Go to everything pack, copy gfx folder and go back to above destination and paste in the new gfx folder.
Then copy the edited folders 1 through 11 from the everything pack and paste them into the edited names section in Program Data as before, so they over-write the old ones.
Delete everything pack from desktop. Job Done!

That done correctly, absolutely everything will work barring royston french pic. Go to C:/Program Files/starters orders 4/gfx/portraits/1/jockeys and find the file currently named R French. Right click on it, select rename and enter R Ffrench. Hit return/enter, Job Done!!

That's weird. Ok, go to http://www.startersorders.com/phpBB2/vi ... php?t=2419 download it, open either of the folders, copy the 'MOUSE' file, then open the gfx folder and just paste it straight into there.
If you want the orginal cursor back once working, I can email it to you.
