Post Holy Moly!
I have to say after i retired daydream dancer to stud i thought his offspring would be the ones to flourish until i came across moly who i bought and trained up from a yearling. Now Moly has taken on some of the best competition, hurdled at some of the best tracks, constantly improved from the horses very first NH flat race and i have prospects of this one now winning a couple of champion hurdles as long as training goes well.

Most impressive wins would have to be the two festival wins when Moly found himself in a lot of traffic in both races but pulled it out of the bag still. As well as gamely battling four horses in the champion bumper up the cheltenham hill. Hopefully this one will be another league horse and could potentially notch up a couple of ingame champion hurdles.

I entered him into one last novice hurdle for the season and he was sweating badly and drifted from 2/1f to 7/1 but hacked up nonetheless. Next Season, i have the plans for the fighting fifth, christmas hurdle, champion hurdle.

And then will look at if he wins a champion hurdle or if he runs well enough to go chasing in three seasons time when the horse is around 7 and he will probably have one season chasing with the aim being the queen mother, as long as no injuries or anything like that. ill keep you updated.

IMO at the moment hsi jumps bar is not high enough to for him to go chasing he looks a class novice hurdler and hopfully a champion hurdler unless his jumps bar goes up a bit in the nex 2 or 3 years he may not be too consitant over the big jumps somthing to jeep an eye on

Now then he has made me aware and from your advice also that hurdling is his game. I was very nervous watching that race, and the finish was a battling finish in the christmas hurdle and i am glad the horse rose to the challenge. Then i started to look more in depth at his form.

Which usually in this game doesnt work out too well. However, i started looking and his form makes him out to be a superstar hurdler.

Moly won the champion bumper as we can see, and the horse that finished 3 and a half lengths second won the temp juvenile novices hurdle and the horse that finished third, four lengths behind Moly came out and won a champion hurdle next season.

Moly went to the cheltenham juvenile novices hurdle which he won. The horse that finished second on that occasion come out and win the ladbroke handicap hurdle thereafter. The horse that finished third came out and won the aintree hurdle.

Moly went to the supreme and won that.

He has now won a christmas hurdle beating a horse that has won the last two runnings of it by 1/4 length but these two were a distance clear of the rest of the field.

I think that the form in so4 works out much better than it did in so3. Or is it random. Clearly Moly has shown he deserves his place with the top hurdlers, and being unbeaten is vey significant, i will now keep him fresh for the champion hurdle where he will try and win that.

lovley horse mate every time you step him up in grade he meets the challenge he should be odds on to win at cheltenham now he has got up the hill twice before so he has all the weapons to win the champion hurdle what are your longterm plans for him to keep him racing or send him to stud and produce plenty more like him

I tend to use the gallops frequently before i send him onto a next race even if it is a small race such as his first national hunt flat race. I compare times, with the ground and everything. I think when he is a six/seven year old ill send him to stud, but he has the firepower of anything ive ever seen, and even when you think the horse is beat, he comes back fighting. If you also notice, his preffered ground is firm ground and he hasnt had that ground yet, and at the festival it isnt usually quicker than good to soft, he is definitely a hurdler to be reckoned with and if he wins the champion hurdle his offspring are going to be something very very special indeed.

I didnt send him to the fighting fifth as the race was a small field and i wanted to test him and the christmas hurdle was the perfect opportunity, he seems to love cheltenham and has shown he is an ultimate stayer up that hill. Very pleased with him, and it is onwards and upwards, i should have the champion hurdle finished within the next hour and a half, and i will be hopefully be having three festival winners with my horses this season.
