I have put over 600 hours into this game mainly playing my own Modified Version of the SO7 Tomas Schedule Australian.
After a long wait for Starters Orders 8 which isn't going to happen anytime soon (Thanks Mark), I decided to go all-in on what I see as the ultimate Australian Horse Racing Schedule for Starters orders 7.
It took over 80 hours to make this schedule and I implemented the use of AI to take the names of the races from the racing.com calendar and import it into the game format. This included much troubleshooting as the AI was always making errors.

It includes the best parts of many different mods, as well as much of my own work.

There are many features of this mod including:

Known Errors and Fixes to be made:

- Most night meetings are added correctly however I have missed a few night meetings that I need to add in the schedule editor.

NOTE:

I recommend to disable "Realistic Weather Effects" in your graphics settings, else the game WILL crash! With this setting disabled, the game will not crash or at least it will rarely crash. I do not know why this is the case, I just know after many crashes and troubleshooting, this is the case.

Not all courses in the courses folder are used, I may use more courses in the future.

The 7 Stakes, TAB Everest, Golden Eagle and Five Diamonds do not hold Group 1 Status in real life; however, they have been made G1's in the game to attract the best quality fields.

The 2024 Spring Carnival has not yet concluded in real life; therefore, I do not have the correct 2024 spring carnival calendar, therefore some races may be on different days than they are in real life. I plan to update this after we have raced the spring carnival and have all the feature races completed.

The months September to December in game, are copied from the SO7 James Australian Schedule.

I have changed the race names to match the 2024 Spring Carnival and added the new Australian Heritage Cup on Melbourne Cup Day among other things.

Unzip the 2024 Australian Horse Racing folder to the "Mods" folder in your Starters Orders 7 Directory eg C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Starters Orders 7 Horse Racing\mods

For PATCH

Unzip the 2024 Australian Horse Racing folder to the "Mods" folder in your Starters Orders 7 Directory eg C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Starters Orders 7 Horse Racing\mods

and OVERWRITE all existing files

Make sure you installed the original mod files first.

Start a new game with the "2024 Australian Horse Racing" schedule selected in your mod selection

When starting a new game, this will take a LONG time. Sit back, grab a coffee - then enjoy your immersion into what I believe is the greatest Starters Orders 7 schedule ever created!

You may need to select the mod when loading your game save but i'm not sure.
Please let me know if anything doesn't work as intended.

I have given the game a go first of all, you have done well ganging the pool from 40000 to 27000 but I would go to 20000, but it is your schedule mate, you have a lot of handicap races in the mate, would weed some handicaps out as the game will make handicaps, I would use more races from other countries also that might balance it out, otherwise you have done a good job.

PATCH NOTES:

* Horse pool further reduced from 21000 to 19000
I feel like this is the sweet spot, I can go down to 18000 and the form is a bit tighter but the 2yo races are pretty weak and the melbourne cup is pretty weak. Idk why but I have tested this extensively now.
* some 2yo races removed as they were not populating and therefore became walkovers
* more preps added
* correct 2024 Australian stud farms added
