So there was a horse race without horses. Did it just crash at that point or did it keep going? I can picture it, the stadium is full of people, all of a sudden the announcer shouts out "And they're off!" the crowd looks around startled, just as 10 seconds ago there are no horses, "number three has taken the lead, back to number 8, and number 1". One man shouts that post time isn't for another 1/2 an hour. "And they ran the first quarter in 24.2" The announcer has clearly lost his mind, shouting about horses that aren't there.

The screen stays and moves as if the race is running but no horses are seen. As far as the announcer I don't know because I always set all game sound off.

Do you know for to have lighting do I have to open a track in the editor and place lights and then save and export ~ which then becomes the file "lightmaps"?

*Never mind believe I found my answer in the editor guide

I tried Meadowlands on my end and it works fine. I've seen this error before, however. To fix it, simply load the track in the editor, press the export button in the editor, and then once done exporting, close the editor, open the game, and see if it works. Should solve your problem.

Problem was my end. Forgot to change some names and edit some course specs in the courses file.

Not sure what works and what doesn't so do not download or use until further notice. A new download will be necessary. I will release that within the next 48 hours, unless major problems arise.

Good luck with that. The course editor no longer works.

The only problem I have seen thus far is the crowds. IN order for the crowd to show up, the courses must be re-exported in the course editor. This will take awhile as I need to go through each and every course, one by one. However, once finished, I will release the updated courses pack (all original courses along with 2.20 courses).
If you find any other problems, please let me know.

Thanks mj. So I can use your courses as is just there is no crowd right? Was getting a little worried reading the complaints in the patch thread.

As far as I can tell, yes. I would still save very often as you don't know how the game will react, but I tried about 10 different courses (some I made, other game default) and they worked without the crowd.

All your tracks run well on my end. One question - Were the rails around the bends at Delta Downs always that 'not rounded'? for lack of a better term.

Just watched a race there again to make sure. That cant be right? or is it the only thing you could make?

Since Delta was my first course made (and my first try with the editor with anything) the rails are kinda choppy. However if is also really tough to get good rails on such a small track with tight bends. When I get to re-exporting later today, I will look and see what I can do in ways of fixing.

UPDATE:
About half way done with re-exporting all the courses.
2.2 is compatible with post 0.914, just no crowds will appear. The schedule works fine, along with other data files.
If you have any problems, tell me.

It is quite a laborious task.

Guess I didn't do something right during my attempts as you can see below; An invasion at Saratoga during the Hopeful Stakes.
