 Re: Start It 2.270
All courses except for Randwick are done. I started working on Randwick today and while working on it, a hole appeared in the course due to the terrain editor. I have contacted Mark asking for help. For now, I will sit on the courses already made and will release all of them once Randwick is done. Should be done by the end of the week. I will continue with making courses (starting those that will come in the update after this one) as well as some silks.

 Re: Start It 2.270
MJ - Since I live in California, I'm definitely looking forward to the Cal Fair courses. By the way, when you're done with this round, could you make sure the Atlantic City and Bowie info is included in the courses.dat file? You've provided the info here and it's easy enough to add, but I figure you might as well include it from here forward. Thanks!

 Re: Start It 2.270
MJ question for you. You mentioned earlier that you were going to work on some more UK silks. I was wondering how many of the trainers have you done, and is it something that we can do ourselves. For instance what would i have to do to change the silks so every trainer has a different one. Seems with UK especially multiple trainers have the same silks.
Thanks

 Re: Start It 2.270
I have like 60 more silks to do for the UK. Once I get a chance to sit down and work on them, I can bang them out. My focus has been on courses as of late as I'm nearing the end of the US thoroughbred tracks, which would be the end of adding races to the showcase files and schedule files for the US (allowing me to finally start a full game, which I had yet to do, just side games based on really early version of my schedule). I also want to do my mod based on local tracks, which requires the small tracks to flesh out the schedule. I'm getting through a lot of silks at a time, but will take time to finish. You can make your own silks, but it does take time and photo editing software (like Paint.net, which is what I use). I will get done with the silks eventually, it is not like I won't get through them, just will take time.

 Re: Start It 2.270
No rush MJ. I can't thank you enough for this mod, I was just curious is it possible to use the US silks for the UK database. For instance you have all the trainers silks in the US version is there anyway i can transfer those silks to the UK version. Therefore I wont have repeat owners on the UK side? Thanks for all your help.

 Re: Start It 2.270
First off, you shouldn't have repeat owners (besides Godolphin and Juddmonte trainers) ever since the last silks update with 2.264, which gives just about every trainer a unique silk (only exception are the afformentioned). And you can replace the US silks. Just replace the numbers in the trainers file. For Example: Richard Hannon 1, ^^^change the 1, to whatever silks number you want (as defined in the 3D>races>jockeys folder). So if you want silk 89, the new number would be "89," (no quotes.

 Re: Start It 2.270
Randwick is making its way to the finish. About half way done with the course. Have already put in the course waypoints (three turf courses, one for each chute, 1200m, 1400m, 1600m). Just finished the rails. Now just need to put in the entities and make it look nice. Next course pack should be out tomorrow.

 Re: Start It 2.280
Start It 2.8 is out! This contains a revamped Belmont Park (based on the old model), the rest of the courses in the California Fair Circuit, as well as Randwick. Just a note, make sure to make a copy of Randwick to keep in your courses file. Sometimes, when an update comes along, the courses gets overwritten with the game Randwick. Also, delete your Belmont Park and Randwick course folders before installing. Also included are revised schedules and showcase files for Australia, which I believe are Simpleminds (as that is the only Australian schedule I have). They reflect the three chutes for Randwick (6f, flat1; 7f, flat2; 8f, flat3). If you wish to change your own files, find all the 7f races and change the tag to cc_flatTurf2 in the showcase file and then find all the 8f races and change the tag to cc_flatTurf3. Then, change the respective races in the schedule file (cc_flatTurf2 races are Randwick2 and cc_flatTurf3 are Randwick3). If you have Randwick in any other schedules, you will need to make those changes as well.

 Re: Start It 2.280
MJ - Hit a snag with 2.28...after copying over the new files, I can't start a new game or get into the schedule editor from within the game...it locks up and I'm forced to exit to the desktop. There appears to be an issue with either the new Cal Fair races in the Showcase file, or the new track listings in the Courses.dat file itself. I use my own custom Showcase file, so I had added the Cal Fair race info to my file (which I've done with your other updates), but no-go this time. I also tried all of your files from 2.28 together (Showcase, Schedule, Courses.dat), but it still locks up.
From a cursory review of the Cal Fair track info in your Showcase and Courses.dat files, everything looks okay (text-wise), but I could easily be missing something. Everything works fine if I go back to my old Showcase file (without the Cal Fair tracks) and old Courses.dat file, which includes all of your courses through 2.27. Any thoughts?

 Re: Start It 2.280
Thank you Mj for Randwick.
I haven't installed it yet as I need to make all the adjustments in the showcase etc, but can I ask, did you include a rise in the Randwick straight?
Not a problem if you didn't.
Thanks for all your efforts!!

Alan You only need to install the ones that have the _QH tag on them in the data>2 folder. The rest of the update is not necessary. They can be done, but subsequent updates have made the changes already.
