Post subject:  Schedule Changes

Hey guys I'm new to the game and the forums so please don't get snappy.

Whenever I try to edit the schedule all I do is change the dates of the races I don't even add any in, yet every time I try to use this schedule the game crashes.

I was wondering also if there is any way to create your own races and implement them into the schedule and possibly edit the schedule outside of the game itself.

I read in one post that it is possible to rename the horses in the database, but I can't find the file to do so.

Can someone please help as it is particularly frustrating and I feel left out.

Thanks

i have just come across that problem i wnated to clear all races from the uk schedule and just keep it as a 2yo schedule but crashes when i goto save

you can edit out side the game by editing the schedule file and the showcase file
but they have to match exactly its a bit long winded

Where can I find these files?

Is it possible to create or at least rename database races?

Dossa u can change just about everything in the game, i've changed every race in my game.

Have a look through the forum because all the information is in here. Make sure u know what u doing before u change anything because if get one little thing wrong and it Will brake u game.

Dossa have u changed the natspread, if u have it will crash u game. Unless Mark has fixed it.

Hi Dossa

To change the horse name database go into the data files folder (the number will depend upon what country you are playing in, "1" is for the UK for example). In this folder will be a file named horses.dat. This is the file you need to amend if you want to change the horse names. Make sure you make a back up of the original file though in case you make a pigs ear of the editting (be warned that you need EXACTLY 16076 horses in the file otherwise the game will crash).
