From a purely betting point of view, McIlroy @ 28/1 in form or out of it is a serious price, you won't be seeing him that big for a major championship unless he seriously loses the plot!

he is in awful form but i agree he is well overpriced and i cant belive garcia is ahead of him in betting

I can in a way, Garcia won the Amateur championship at Muirfield in 1998 and was T8th 2 shots of the winning score in 2002 and has 6 Top 10 Open Championship finishes...
