Post CAN SOMEBODY PLEASE EXPLAIN THE CONVERT PROCESS (MARK)
Just found a little renewed motivation so working through my mods and getting them so7 ready. I have seen people discuss a way to convert my so6 sched, which to be honest is new and relevant enough for so7. I would never redo a sched, so how do I try to convert? step by step please. Thanks.

I don’t play moded or anything like that, but you could try the game mods forum.

See the updated instructions.

The convertor converts racecourse and showcase files. The schedules are the same as SO6 apart from some header items you can copy and paste from a SO7 example.

In the Folder Called mods in your game under the folder called lightmaps

Launch the game and click the big instructions icon top-right of game menu.

Hi Mark I see only 11 folders in @convertfolder in mods folder for SO7 we now have 13 Regions that come with the game can we just add more folders has I have South African mods from so6 so that would be Folder 12 or 13 the other being Singapore also if I add a new Region can I just add more folders 14, 15 etc.

There are only 11 folders because that folder is for SO6 files to be converted in only. SO7 no longer uses numeric folders. The names of the SO7 folders are derived from the localities.db file.

To add new nationalities edit the db/localities.db file and add a new nationality at the bottom of the list. The tags you add in this file are used for naming the new folders.

Also for now just use the mods folder for any data files. I mentioned elsewhere that this is the priority to avoid patch overwrites. There are problems with adding some visual files to the mod folder so they can be added to the main game files. I may look at this again at a later date.
