Episode 9 postponed till tomorrow.

File size too big.

May have to shorten the videos to just the races format - on-line league style.

Teleprompter2, is it your modified schedule you are using?

Does it work well?

City Skylines Update

I have started the Cities Skylines series again, I didn't like the first two episodes, too much waffling.
This one is a brief tour of the city so far. Around 6000 population, with low residential in the north, a business development to the centre, and a high wealth section to the south next to the river. The district is surrounded by a canal with pedestrian walkways.
There is also an industrial section serviced by a freight train. With a passenger train to bring in tourists.
I have made a start on a beach area.
The town is worth a look just to see the football stadium and a stunning beetle shaped hockey stadium.

The series will continue this week, and I will post links on this thread.

Other games on the channel over the next few weeks/months include:

Banished: The Forge Awakens
Civilization 6 (After release in October)
Planet Coaster (After release in November)
Football Manager 2017 (After release in November)
Tropico
Anno 1404
Railroad Tycoon

Hi Taunton,

Yes it is my modified schedule:

It works brilliantly, most handicaps have 16 runners, most group races have 12 runners. Group 1 winners are excluded from group 2 and group 3 races. So they tend to only target group 1 races, which makes these very competitive.
Every horse in the game has a career path and can find at least 8 suitable races per season.
There are a few walk overs but these are pretty rare.
Two year old races do go up to two miles, which might be a problem for some people, but as I suggested in the series, this needs to be looked at. Two years just aren't competitive even at 10f if they have a long distance breeding lineage, so I more or less had to introduce these longer nurseries for better gameplay.

Cheers. I would like to try it out. It sounds great. Is it available for download still?

Thanks Paul. Feel free to post your bets anytime. Or build a stable with the ten to follow.

I am hoping it will evolve into a type of owners competition, where you can 'acquire/own' and name up to ten unraced two year olds each season from any stable (not from the auctions) and follow them through till the end of their careers.

I can keep track using the notes facility and update stats for each owner.

Schedule used in the videos can be downloaded from here:

http://www.filedropper.com/schedf

http://www.filedropper.com/showcf

This is the path for both files:

Program files > Starters Orders 6 > data 1

It will require a restart.

Replace the two files, but remember to back up your old ones first.

Episode 9 is done and on course for 4.30 posting.

Takes 5 hours to upload to you tube - and that is after using handbrake!

No idea why it take so long - City Skylines videos take 20 mins for same length!

I felt the same way about steam to start with, but have changed my mind now.

Hope you will follow the Cities Skylines series, got some big expansion plans in mind!
