s06 new game - medium difficulty

Hi All

Big fan of SO series, did exceptionally well in a game I had on easy but whilst S07 is being finalized thought I’d start a new game on 06 but on medium difficulty

Just finished my first season and about 15k in debt with another 30k of my loan left to pay off, finding it a lot harder with a stable of 7 or 8 C4 level nags at best
I’ve noticed the horses fall more, I tend to ride a lot of mine, is this down to the level of difficulty increasing? My stable is as basic as they come as I have no money
Also I never put my horses out to grass at the end of S1, my error I presume and they’ve all come back in September unfit, not great when I’m skint!

Couple of questions, firstly any tips when starting a new game to give me a slightly smoother path? :D

How in debt can I get before the game ends for me? Obviously I can’t bet as I’m overdrawn, is there a cut off figure for being in debt? Guess all I can do is sell my horses to raise money?

Can’t remember putting horses to grass in my previous game, maybe down to easy level difficulty, when should this be done and I presume every season?

Any other tips/pointers greatly appreciated

Hello mate

Not to sure how much help I can be as only play the flat game but maybe it’s the same with jumps. If you read the money questions on the forum there’s some standard tips. On the flat when a horse goes from a listed race to a handicap they’re always big odds and that’s how I get all my money at first before breeding.

I never put horses out to grass so don’t think it’s that important.

It happened before but can’t remember exactly. Think it was £200000 or £250000 but not sure.
