Assuming your reference is for the forum thread rather than my comment.

Either way, to clarify I thought it might be best to point it out as one one hand the league is trying to attract new users and have provided a guide on the forum listed in my above post to help get started. However on the other hand they are also potentially telling the new members that they cannot actually enter once they've followed the guide. So once a decision to take this forward has been made the aforementioned guide 'may' need to be reviewed and amended.

For me, SO8 has to deliver multiplayer, where players have a set cash start and bid against each other on line in the sales ring.

Something on the lines of Raceclubs, but free to enter, and with a better schedule.

With AI taking up the slack in runner numbers for race entries.

Raceclubs is in my opinion rubbish, but the concept is decent.

I think you should be careful about slating the league and the trainers. My experience is that it is people who care about the game, horse racing and each other. They (we) also happen to be competetive guys. Everything is run on a voluntarily basis by a few who pust a lot of time and effort in so that the rest of us can have a lot of fun. And people share the way the breed and are getting succesful. No one hides or try to benfit just for them self, people share and are supportive.

I am fairly new to the league, but I have understood that it has been times when there were lots of trouble, but not now.
Now it is very well organized, Gray is doing a great job, and the other volunteers as well.

I think strong opinions is great, and as a result of that has brought the league forward, even though opinions differ, everyone wants the same, a healthy, fair and competetive league.

Regards to the TTFs, I think the discussion is not so much for or against, but what is sensible. If the TTF is there, play by it, because you cant control it. If it is taken away, fine, but still it will be those who invest time who will win most.

As long as there is not an online mode in the game, we will have these issues. I think making an online mode would benefit Strategic designs massively. Until then, we need the volunteers and the strong opinions, but dont slate them, because everyone involved cares alot.

Starters Orders players have had years of people manipulating the system, from hexing, to changing schedules to god knows what else.

Don't you think it's time to make the league fair for everyone, including people who have just bought the game and are new to the series?

Just like to say its not up to me how the league is run Leon is still in charge I just run it as he as more things in his life now and cant dedicate to the game like he used to but he still does Tom and without his work on tom I couldn't run the league.

Its not up to me or any other league Player to dictate to other game players if they should be able to use the ttf file or not that has to come down to the game developer Mark and even if I said no League player can have a horse that as been used by Breeding with ttf file how do you Control that.

I have come to the conclusion it might be the end of the road you guys are now Fighting throwing muck at each other and it doesn't look good or will entice anyone to the league perhaps SO6 was the best league ever it might be the last one ever as well unless we sort out this TTF thing.


One thing is for sure I am close to Jumping a sinking ship and Mark needs to step in and decide where he wants this Game to go because once the league does die I expect the game will carry on but the League will be dead unless somehow Mark gets a Online Multiplayer on a server where we can all play jockey's.

I agree with gray, ttf goes mark please back gray and get rid off the ttf file, a new start and let gray lead them to better pasture, give gray the authority to run the league the proper way, it's going to upset some but it will fix things long term for the league, I might even join,

the bigger problem will be seeing what horses are siblings as its possible to change the name of the horse which means its possible to have a stable full of real life clones,though as for cheating it certainly is not,not unless you want to pay me the 25 quid the game cost then you can tell me how to play it or until it changes I will play it how I want with all the tools at my disposal did you want my paypal details?

I'm locking this thread as it's getting nowhere. As far as I'm concerned the league will carry on as is during a season or two at least if there are enough willing participants. Otherwise it won't. During this time I can look at requests and continue to think about issues regarding the TTF file. Anything further down the line can be discussed at a later point.
