On a similar point to above, horses should retire earlier, there are way too many 12 year old plus horses running in the biggest races, not only should these horses not be as good as they are on the game at this age, most of them should have been retired already.

Also, I know its been mentioned before but I think graded novice races would really help with realism.

Finally, on the point of novice hurdlers not being good enough the following season when stepping into graded races, I think there seems to be an issue with many of the best horses on the game running over hurdles as juveniles, and so the ones that run in novice races are maybe not as good as those that have already ran as juveniles, however, the issue of horses peaking way too late is probably more of a factor than this.
