Re: How Do You Install Start It Mod?
I read one of the updates saying that courses work better with mods now but am unsure if the "3D/Courses" can now go into the "mods" folder or not. For safety sake I'd still copy them into the base game folder so they work properly.

No only use the MODS folder for the DB (data) files.

Re: How Do You Install Start It Mod?
Guys I’m confused can you help? Struggling to follow the video.
I’ve downloaded the start it files and extracted them what do I do next ? Never downloaded and installed a mod like this before I haven’t got a clue being honest
This is what I think I do can you tell me wether it’s right?
1) program files > SO7 > Mods > create new folder (StartIt) 2) in the StartIt folder create create a 3D , db (data) and gfx file like in the base game 3) copy in the unzipped data files into my newly created db file and gfx file. * Do I copy the file that says db or the files inside that folder like AUS. Also do I copy the file that says gfx or the files inside that folder like PORTRAITS * 4) copy the unzipped courses file into the main game directory 3D file and accept override request.
Is this right?
what do I do with the patch? Do I do the same as above and copy the courses folder into the base game? And the folders inside the db and gfx files into there folders in my startit file that I’ve created and accept override requests?
This is very confusing for me.

Re: How Do You Install Start It Mod?
Download Start It. Unzip contents.
1. Yes. Make a new folder in the mods folder found in your game directory. Name it Start It or Whatever you want.
2. Copy and paste the db folder found in the Start It data folder into your new folder.
3. Copy and paste the gfx folder found in the Start It data folder to Program Files (x86) > Starters Orders 7. Accept all overwrite requests.
4. Copy and paste the 3D folder found in the Start It Courses folder to Program Files (x86) > Starters Orders 7. Accept all overwrite requests.
5. Copy and paste the entities folder found in the Start It Courses folder to Program Files (x86) > Starters Orders 7 > 3D. Accept all overwrite requests.
6. Copy and paste the 3D folder found in the Start It 4.0.1 folder to Program Files (x86) > Starters Orders 7. Accept all overwrite requests.
7. Copy and paste the db folder found in the Start It 4.0.1 folder to your new folder you created in the mods folder. Accept all overwrite requests.
8. Copy and paste the gfx folder found in the Start It 4.0.1 folder to Program File (x86) > Starters Orders 7. Accept all overwrite requests.

On the building form page it freezes but doesn’t crash then goes on to the my stable page after the page going black for a few seconds , is it something to do with the way I’ve installed it or is it something that needs to be patched. Also, where you have a picture of the course for meydan it is blank is this right? Yasmin

Yes you can put them in there, it shouldn't cause problems as they only affect the look of the game.

Where have you put them as when I’m using the mod it has been freezing and crashing on the building form page not every time though. I think it may have something to do with were I’ve put the files.

Re: How Do You Install Start It Mod?
Thank you all for answering the original posters question for me. I haven't been on the forums as much as I used to due to lack of time. Glad to see everyone helping each other out! One thing I've always loved about this game.

I re-downloaded the files to help with this issue, I screenshotted along the way for each step: 1 - I downloaded the three files on the main page: https://i.gyazo.com/f24f935c6b89bc5537a ... 08266b.png2 - Each file unzipped: https://i.gyazo.com/19b299b419c95465f0a ... 655bee.png, https://i.gyazo.com/1e6c799b125798152fa ... 306bbf.png, https://i.gyazo.com/c53636d5fbdc700f4cd ... 36d88c.png3 - I merged folders of the same name and overwrite them when asked, in the release order (Data, then Course, then the 4.0.1 Patch). That left me with: https://i.gyazo.com/bd83d78e503b10fd13e ... 0cf080.png4 - The "entities" folder goes inside the "3D" folder, so I them move that in there for the final set of folders that are now ready to install. 5 - Navigate to your install folder (for me it's: https://i.gyazo.com/79b070daea3ff179172 ... c2f397.png), and you'll find the three folders we'll put stuff in. 6 - The downloaded "3D" folder is merged with the one in the above picture (step 5), the downloaded "gfx" folder is merged in the same way, and the special one is the "db" folder so let's stick that in it's own step. 7 - In the step 5 screenshot we see the "mods" folder, so we navigate into that and can see some folders: https://i.gyazo.com/812709087ffcba5a981 ... 4b0b06.png. The first one is created by the game, as is the "readme.txt", however the third folder ("StartIt") is one I created myself to house the modded files. 8 - Finally we move the "db" into that created "StartIt" folder: https://i.gyazo.com/a9c4e08b50a5611c17d ... 807732.png9 - Once we go into the game you should see the folder you created under the "Available user mods" dropdown menu as we see in this screenshot: https://i.gyazo.com/beac4a94cb7ebd993e7 ... d7aecc.png. You need to select the correct mods folder not only when creating the game, but also each time you load that save. This should hopefully solve any issues or confusions over the process, and I might make a new install video for MJ to replace the other one for more clarity since the original one I was doing as I first installed the mod and now know parts of that process were flawed. Let me know if anything else is unclear. Cheers, Chris
