Think the jury is still out on that certainly will be another couple of weeks before that becomes clear
So far and not many of mine have been up against their elders yet Tunisia & Park Lane have more than
held their own against the older horses Park Lane has won 3 open G1s so i Think its close but not enough data to go on yet.

Sprinters are an exception. Its from 7f up that the differences start to appear. 10f already has 2 group 1 winners in last 2 weeks that were 7. We shall see this week In Nassau, King george and Goodwood cup for how things are panning out.

I see Jangos 3yo won the 1m4 group2 race this week and u 3yo won the 2m maiden so its very close plus I think the 3yo can improve a bit. :D :D

You can't use my 3yo as an example    That horse is in just to test where my 3yos are. The 6 and 7yo version of that horse make the 3yo look like a low level handicapper. a 7yo won the Eclipse. a 7yo won the Criterian so things are pretty balanced. I think there may have been a false pace in R1 and R2 as well. Things will become clearer through the following weeks

I know my 3yos except sprinters aren't as good as the older horses. The jury is still out on how the trainers with good 3yos will fair against those with good older horses.

My 3yo Braashee won a maiden beating some of the older horses. Was well happy with that because he's really the first horse i've got over that distance but he's better as a 5yo. I might have put him at the wrong age. My Colzean family with him and his 3 boys have all won a race. Well proud of that. Plus the 3yo got all the classics to go for so there's something for everyone and another good thing is if u have a outstanding 3yo it will get better with age and u more likely to keep it in for another year. In SO6 u just breed 3yo really and the older horses u just kept a few for the early races.

Personally I think this is being over simplified to just say older or younger have the advantage etc. I think everyone will have a different experience based on the game they play and the way they breed. Combined trainers will maybe see more older horses succeeding as their breeding will have slower maturing jump stock in the mix, pure flat trainers who have horses in decline by say 4, 5 or 6 will see their respective peaks at different, younger ages. It is already apparent that a horse that’s good at one age say 2yo may not necessarily continue to perform when 3 or 4.

I have two totally different development curves between my UK jumps game and my Australian flat game. Trainers will need to judge each horse based on their respective peak. I don’t even bother exporting my NH horses until they are 8.

Firstly I apologise for my call in the TJ Smith... I got very excited, my first ever Sprint G1 and probably only my 4th or 5th ever. Very surprised as Avokovadro is much better at home but Swift Rumble has been the superstar and owes me nothing for the rest of the season now, both will be aimed at the Everest now.

Party At The Post also won a big sprint which I was happy with as he seemed a 5f and hot a 6f horse. Chocolate Pioneer went very close in the Super Sprint too for a nice prize!

Well done all winners, especially Ryan and Satyam who I believe may have had their first winners, this season at least!

Congrats Nick, been close enough a few times to deserve that. I did think you'd celebrated slightly early as Xinyi closed in though :) An Ryan too, found myself cheering that one home :)

My own was a little frustrating this week, was really hoping to do the 6f Group1 treble, an missed out so narrowly

Xinyi Player - I'm pretty sure she's the best 6f horse around now, easy win first time out followed by a jockey taking her from the rail to 10 wide for no reason an losing by the narrowest of margins. Think she'll be the one to beat going forward

Xinyi Nightngale - What a performance that was on heavy, top weight an coming from out of the screen to lose narrowly, probably the performance of the week for mine

Hanun Volta - Been waiting for a 1m3 race for her, an she done it as well as I thought, flew home from the clouds, lovely performance, but she'll struggle going forward now for races

Kaiping Slick - Ran the exact same race as always, seems to love setting races up for Pauls :) Maybe one day he'll hold on, he definitely deserves a big win now

Big improvements for me in the transfer window, so looking forward to the rest of the season, thanks to all involved in getting the races together again. I hope Nick has calmed down now :)

It might not be a group1 but winning u countries biggest race is always fantastic and getting Candy there has been a challenge with his poor jumping and it almost cost him again today. Running on my home town track might have helped. :D :D On to Frances biggest race next for Candy. :D :D

Took 8 weeks but I finally tallied some wins. 3 for the week altogether which is quite satisfying. My first winner Pandemonium I had posted a screen shot of him in the general discussion forum because he was a 90% yearling. I won a race on the dirt with one of my US game horses. Want any sort of advantage? US horses compete very well in league dirt races. AUS game horses do well in AUS track league races.

I was beginning to lose faith that I was way behind in breeding to even win a race this year. One superstar game sire helped me big time.

Congrats to the first time winners and all the rest and thanks to the volunteers keeping this thing running smoothly.

It only takes 1 very good horse to improve u lines , I didn't know until after my trials that most horses came from my encosta about stallion on the flat. It took just one very good game stallion Cockney Dotson to improve my stayers by over 10L, without him I wouldn't have had any on the flat. My new 2mile chaser Joint has improved I'd say by about 5L because of a stallion in the breeding Barn that I got shot of a long time ago and who went on to win 12 group1's . That was a rookie mistake

Thank You :D Yeah you were correct all along the ground really does make a difference. I think the slow pace helped as well.
I came into the season hoping for 1 win  Now i'm coming out of it a g1 winner from a flat horse i exported from my breeding barn who i don't think i ever raced past 2. I only uploaded her because she trialed well against my 96 rated league horse monte casino Shame i only have 1 copy of her and deleted that game a while ago.

Thanks again for the comms and race runners. I will be watching the video for years to come :)

Firstly well done Ryan on your first winner your 1 up on me.

Secondly I should be more assertive, 4th in the Eclipse and I expected a decent run so I should have just gone for it from week 1 but I didn't !!! In all my trials she never won and Stormy Willow was the better by far and he is an ok'ish handicapper. Not sure what to make of it tbh.

Oh well I got a winner over the jumps, think that's six and something to work on but I have many things to ponder upon.

Many thanks for all the time and work to make the league work!

Great weeks racing.

Lot's of trainers getting winners and 1 or 2 for the first time (Well Done Ryan, first of many), some even G1's (Fisky) very nice type :D

Flat Team

Some fine placed efforts along with 2 winners one been a G1 2yo race. Nice to take some top races on my least favorite league.

1st - Fable Master - Wasn't sure about the trip today been a 1m2f soft ground 2yo. The ground played a huge part for her today. That final half furlong was electric. Looking forward to the rest of the G1's over 1m+ bring on the big guns. She's already producing some fine offspring one notable 2yo who is a machine in my trails (Isengard) The combined game is a strange one. This filly is half flat breed half jump breed horse.

1st - Pearl Jam - Final picking up at the right time and getting his head in front. He's a very old 2yo which still dominates my 2yo sprinters. Not sure the league races are run to suit his style. Leave it far to late.

Had some good placed efforts with other horses.

NH Team

3 winners this week.
Could have be much better if they get over that last fence full of running :x Getting frustrating now taking up the lead to see slow jumps and mistakes at the last fences, name of the game is jumping  . I guess i'll take positives knowing i'll be a much stronger outfit next season and get them jumping much better.

1st - Daltawa Mattino - Very good novice but just blow top class i think. I've so much better at home now and doesn't make the top 20. Pleasing run this week. Will test her out against the best at the upcoming festivals.

1st- Ballagio Fenton - Nice to see this one get his head in front. I do get harshly slammed by the handicapper at times. But i can't complain. Hey Gray i'm only a small trainer these days. Be more generous please :( .

1st - Lyons Mayhem - Nice win today only taken her 7 weeks to do so. Probably wont win again now with rating of 145.

Thanks to the people behind the scenes as always. Can't believe we are heading towards week 8 already. Festivals fast approaching :D
