Re: FLAT R 17
I would be reluctant to change the 25. At present most races are ok and some will be very undersubscribed if we drop the numbers There is only one problem distance and it is 10f and it affects manily the small trainers. Balancing the schedule and fixing it slightly that the small trainers have races for their horses is the solution. Also using more suitable courses. I think we can sort this out with a few tweaks.
There are other potential solutions such as a stable of 25 but a max entries of 20 in a week. Which will allow balanced stables but also ensure that some races aren't undersubscribed.
I think limiting the number of entries to 20 in a week is a better solution than dropping stable size.

If you want something to record the screen have a word with Gray or the race runners and see what they use. I do all the preview show stuff on Movie Maker

Re: FLAT R 17
I think the main issue is not whether there was 24 or 25 horses, but that 3 horses were off the track and ran through the rails. Which is pretty ugly to watch.
I had some issues with Newcastle when running trials with a large field and moved it Wolverhampton where it was fine. It appears different distances have different start points with different track widths.

thanks Ryan The race runners record the race and put it in dropbox. So you will need that too. Then you play the video and record your audio. You then send the audio file to Gray who synchs it up with the video and uploads it to youtube. Just have a bash at a few races and we will discuss the technical side after. Send me a whole race not just a clip and have a go at a flat and a jumps if you like. Just pick any race from this week mute the comm and record your own and send it to me. No rush, do it in your own time.

Re: FLAT R 17
just to throw my ten penneth in I always thought extending the stable to 25 was a bad idea just gives the dominant trainers the chance to dominate more races.
I think newbies 2nd season and maybe even 3rd season trainers should get 25 and the rest of us 20 maybe you can handicap it on the previous seasons performance definitely give newbies 25 so they have a chance. just my opinion.

It gives the top trainers 1 extra sprinter, 1 extra miler, 1 extra 10f horse, 1 extra classic horse and maybe a gun 3yo. I guess it would be even smarter to make those 5 extra horses 3yos. The league worked fine with a 20 horse flat stable limit. It's the easiest solution.

As I mentioned above - reverting flat stable size back to 20 is the easiest solution and it takes the strain off race runners, commentators and the handicapper.

Different sized stables can't happen. Sorry this can't be coded. It's the same size for all.
