Re: NHF RACES CHANGE FOR ONLINE LEAGUE
I think we should keep the NHF races but only have NHF horses in them.
The Champion Bumper is a big stepping stone for future novice hurdlers and follows a specific path to the novice ranks.
NHF horses should only be restricted to race in NHF races and not in novice hurdles.

NHF horses should only be restricted to race in NHF races and not in novice hurdles. We had this and it was a disaster and would be a backwards step. The same few horses running week after week. We decided to open the bumnper races to all novices as it made it more interesting

Re: NHF RACES CHANGE FOR ONLINE LEAGUE
The NHF races are a waste of a slot in my opinion. Quite often it is the same race week after week. They generate little enthusiasm from post race thoughts that I read.
4YO handicaps would be interesting but again there seem to be fewer 4yos around as NH horses aren't peaking until older.
My suggestion would be to change some of the current 4yo races to handicaps, even if its 160. Maybe on the weeks there are 2 have one at G level and turn the other to a hcap.
The NHF slot could then be used for a low grade hurdle handicap 4yo + so that the low graded hurdlers have an opportunity similar to the chasers in the hunters every week.

I think Mart is right - replace them with a low rated hurdle each week.

Re: NHF RACES CHANGE FOR ONLINE LEAGUE
I voted yes but don't mind what races are replaced by them.
The reason for my vote is that NHF races are not a real representation of the real thing. They are basically 2m flat races for flat sprinters, this is not only in the league but in the game too. I love bumpers in real life but never use them in game even when playing a jumps only game.

Re: NHF RACES CHANGE FOR ONLINE LEAGUE
The problem with the NHF races and I understand why it was done, is they are often contested by G1 class novice hurdlers, and those horses are better than genuine NHF horses or lower tier trainers entering their own novice hurdlers. So the races play out like group level hurdles for the most part, it is the top NH trainers typically winning them.
I sort of like them enough to have voted to keep them, but they do little to enhance the schedule. I generally agree with introducing a hurdle version of the hunter chasers so there are dedicated races each week that everyone has a shot at winning but think replacing them with 4yo juvenile races will just create more problems, that’s a crap tier also now and will not likely see great horses as nothing can really come back for 2/3 seasons and who is going to wait or use a good horse for these, so flat castoffs seem more likely.
If I had to choose losing them for 0-100 5+ hurdles makes more sense to me, but I’d rather keep them and maybe make turn them back to 3-4yo races.

I actually quite like them as well. Defintely in SO7 with you not needing sprinters for them anymore they are way better.

It’s an even vote so nothing should change anyway. Like that filly, shame she is firm ground.
