 Season 17 - Stable Tours
Same as last year, wanted to boost interactions with some stable tours as we are a week out and stables are starting to take shape Flat: Was happy with last years performance, looking to push into the top 10 now with some possible group winning chances. Will again aim for the big handicap finals, I've been slowly making progress and fortunately in a position where I have better horses so none are returning although in trials, some of these are only just beating those, not expecting huge progress from my sprinters, especially 2yo's although feel I've made some inroads from classic distances up. 2yo's Blue Peter Revival - 5f Just about scraped through some mediocre trials, will be aimed at handicaps later in the season. World Government - 6f Another only just scraped through, actually not as good as The Predator from last season but nothing else, will be happy if ending the season rated higher than 70. Leipzig Lady - 7f Very handy in trials at all ages, Sussex and Eclipse winner in game and will be miles better than last years 7f/milers, hoping to be 85/90 rated area. Carnivore - 1m Not the best in-game and scraped through trials, handicapper at best. Mont Doom - 1m1f Royal Lodge and Arc winner in game, could pick up some handicaps, again hopefully 80+ Tauros - 1m2f One of my newer batch, French Derby and BC Classic winner in game, could be a handful at top handicap/listed level. 3yo's Imhoteps Curse - 5f 3yo Sprinters don't often have their own races so season will be a struggle for this one, breaking 70/75 will do. Memory Bridge - 6f Not the best in game and scraped through trials, my sprinters aren't the best and again 70+ will be feasible. Alert Warning - 1m Filly Would have won far more in game if not for Leipzig Lady as they came through in same season, should be competing in good handicaps. Vaders Doom - 1m1f Colt Was unbeaten at 2 in game before winning Preakness and Classic as 3yo, dirt specialist and may even be seen at Triple Crown. Texas Gin - 1m2f Filly Probably one of the best in the stable, routs all in trials between 1m-1m2f, hoping to be 90+ and possible Musidora/Diane option. Sampdoria - 1m4f Filly Another one of the new batch, good game horse, could have an outside shot at reaching the Oaks. Salopettes - 1m4f Colt Won the lot in game, UK/Ire Derby, KG, Arc, BC Turf, loves Epsom too, I really hope he's competitive, if top 5 in any race in first week or two, he'll go Chester/Derby. Devils Moor - 1m6f Useful type, should fare better than last years 3yo stayers, hoping to be high handicap standard. 4yo's Sovereign Sceptre - 5f Few lengths better than Mastermind who was rated in 80's, hoping could run well in handicaps and 80/90 rated. Tsunami Warning - 6f Not as good as Sovereign Sceptre but should hopefully be around the 80 mark and pick up some handicaps. Bullet Beatrice - 7f Not the best in game and scraped through trials, only here as lacking options at 7f, 70-80 rated most likely. Doom Of Dartmoor - 1m Was pretty handy in game and in CK, milers were my best last year and this one plus Pyramid Puzzle are far better, hoping for Heritage Handicaps/Listed wins. Pyramid Puzzle - 1m Not much to split him with the above, Ascot specialist and rarely gets beat there in game and in CK. Aiming for Royal Hunt Cup. Crocodile Tears - 1m2f Dirt specialist again and beat Vaders Doom in a Classic in game. hoping to pick up some handicaps on the AW/Dirt. So Scottish - 1m4f Sire of Mont Doom and Sampdoria so has the pedigree, can go further too, 85/90 handicapper hopefully. Titanfall - 1m6f-2m4f The best in the stable, wins 75%+ of all trials over 1m6f, all the way up to 2m4f. Leger, Gold Cup and Cadran winner in game, aiming for Group level. Element One One Five - 1m6f-2m Pretty handy and challenges Titanfall over these distances, hoping to nab one of the big 2m handicaps. Reichfall - 2m2-2m4f Daughter of Titanfall and more of a stayer, consistent type, hoping to aim at something like the Cesarewitch. Clash Of The Titans - 2m4f Out and out stayer, Goodwood Cup, Gold Cup and Cadran winner multiple times in game. Loves Ascot, hoping to make the Gold Cup an option. Jumps I don't have a jumps game, I just have cast off flat horses that barrel through every fence... Not expecting anything from them, I'll take 4-5 wins throughout the whole season. Not going to go through them but best chances are probably my 2 NHF horses as they don't have to jump a fence Homerry is probably the best in the stable, wins trials anywhere between 2m-2m4f over both fences and hurdles, Nebula Dawn is probably my best staying hurdler and would possibly have been in the flat team had Titanfall not been on the premises. Carol To The Bells is very consistent in Chase races between 2m2f & 3m. Devils Plan will also probably be one of the better ones. Good luck all, thanks again to those running things, once again I'd love to help out but with work and one soon to be two children running rings around me, I don't have the time!

Re: Season 17 - Stable Tours
My jumps team. Been ready since the end of January. Got to go back to my books to remember them. My two miler chasers have probably improved the least since the last league so i have questions about them. I think these might be my best. Mrs Batt is a hold up horse( i know its a shock), her dad( cuthill hope) was my top two miler from last year. I do wonder if she needs the stupid fast races like my trials to show her best. Grey Trix is a front runner who performed best out of my two mile trials. Should go well. My Two and Half milers looked like they have improved a fair bit on last season, they were my weakest chase division last year. I didn't have a group 1 horse last year so hopefully one of these be good enough to compete with some of the best. Stalbridge Colonist was best in my trials and if i have one to compete in group1's he might be the one. Wants good ground and is also a front runner. Equally good over 2m4 and 2m5. My 3m to 3m5 chasers are probably my best division. There are questions about just how good my 3 mile chasers are, i have my doubts on their bars. I think Many Clouds will turn out to be best of the bunch on soft ground. Hopefully good enough to give josh and leon a run for their money. The 3m2 division seems very strong, probably put to many of them in but they all deserved to be there. All three Pendil- Santas Concerto - Brown Chamberlin are all quality race horses i think. Got to find races for them. Got two 3m4 horses in Wayward Lad and Greenbank Park. I waited until my last breeding to name a horse Greenbank Park, i've wanted a good one to come along( hopefully) to give this name out in SO7. My best ever chaser( was a supersta) was in SO6 and he was also called it. Due to being born after my trials he's not really been through them so hopefully my gut instinct is right about him. The aim is the french group 1's and perhaps if good enough to get some revenge for his namesake in the Gold Cup. I got 4 in the 4m+ division and they all seem pretty nice, my 4 mile chasers (Lottey) was very good last year but my 4m4 horses were a total let down who didn't seem to stay. I just hope they stay better this year but i have my doubts . Drumlargen who is my best 4m and 4m4 good ground horse , not sure u can be good over both so have my doubts that he will stay. Hopefully my best 4m4 horse Northern Bay( Named after my fav national horse) will stay and run well in the national. Ive got 6 hurdlers but most will be just h'cappers. My 3 milers should be better than my 2m4 hurdlers. Got a few long distance flat horses to put in this week but they are just fun horses for the long distance h'caps. Good Luck everyone , lets hope its a fitting end to SO7.

Re: Season 17 - Stable Tours
I have uploaded a full flat team from my new save. It is only 37 seasons old. I reckon it needs another 8 - 12 seasons before I see the true potential from this save. At this time of year my main focus is my golf so don't have any time to progress the save further. I take about five days to complete a season. My new NH save is only 21 seasons old so there are very limited options when it comes to uploading a NH team. Might upload 4 or 5 just to see how they run.
The biggest improvement from my new flat save is at 5f & 8f. On average 2 lengths better at 5f and 3 lengths better at 8f. I have uploaded a 5f filly called Freedom Charade and I am really looking forward to how she goes in the 5f race at Dubai.
My 1m 2f and 1m 4f horses are only slightly better than last seasons uploads. I have loads of good horses up to 8f but have struggled to find a good middle distance horse to improve my stable.
The 1m 6f and 2m horses are not as good as last seasons uploads. Last seasons uploads from my old save were probably the best two horses I have ever bred for the league.
I have never had a genuine 2m 4f league horse. I may have found one in this save. Lexicon Distance is new to my stable, only been in the stable 7 seasons. His sire was a gamebred stallion who won every G1 long distance race in the game over a 5 year period. Most of my other uploads are 100% at 4yo but Lexicon Distance is only 91% at 4yo but I am very keen to see how he performs in the league. I also have two of his first generation foals in my team this season, Lexicon Wood (96%) and Lexicon Thief (97%), but their best distance is about 2 miles. I am not expecting great things from these two, I just want to see how they run in the league. Lexicon Distance has bred a 3yo colt who looks like he will be a genuine long distance horse. I was going to include him in my team but after I exported all the horses for the league, I found I had exported 29 horses, it was a hard choice but four horses had to go.
Have a good season everyone.
Jim

Re: Season 17 - Stable Tours
Most of this is for me to look back on, sorry about how long it got. In the discord may put my comments about the breeding.
I just looked back at the horses from last year and Id say 95% of the new stable is better than them. The only difference is my 10F horses haven’t improved since my first season. Last season I only went with 2, at age 2, but after looking over the schedule I noticed there were more races than I thought, so 7 are in this season. 18 of my 25 are game named, due to my laziness. I can’t pronounce some, so no offence how they are called in race haha. Horses in Bold are my ones to watch.
2 year olds Hyde Latte – Best 5f I have. Won an Online trial. Sinadinou Marker – 2nd best over 5f and 6f. Hyde Latte is the Mare Bailadeira Daily – My best over 6f and can also run 7f. Out of Cadger Ghost Dooby Ghost – Best over 7f and can also run 8f. Out of Cadger Ghost Grayfriars Sharp – Was my best over 6f for a long time but has been caught the last few seasons. Kept them in the team, as they ran well in Online trial. Only horse not from my current save. Palme Rapide – Came through my last rushed season. Looks good, if possible, will avoid the softer tracks. Out of Cadgers Ghost and Shuil Moment Shuil Moment – Strong over 10F.
3 year olds Taken a different approach this season and only selected horses for the classics. Nothing shorter than a mile. Protectorate Maison – Consistent miler. Ran well or won an Online trial Spanish Katie – the 4 year old version is better but it seems all my good 3yo milers are fillies. Latanazul Daring – Either wins/top3 in trials or is nowhere. Best of my 3YO milers, based on last few seasons, still unsure if that just means my best but still way off the top of the League Forerunner – Very consistent in trials, maybe doesn’t win enough but will be up there. 1.2F horse Sticky Finder – Best over 1.4F but may come down to 1.2F Compton Rose – Derby horse, likes Epsom. A real outcross when looking at breeding Surely Plans – My Ledger horse. Out of Blazing Might
4 year olds Feels like my stable has gotten better over the longer distances. Looking forward to seeing how they go. Mauri Pipe – My best over 5f, my sprinters seem to lack that last 5% in extra speed so will run well but may not challenge in group races Raslan Apollo – Second best over 6f. Can race over 7f School Zero – Best over 6f but can run 5f well. My best sprinter, but like others may just be off the pace. Pity a Mare for breeding Tabaret Gunner – My 2nd best 4yr miler (after Spanish Katie). Not expecting much. Out of Protectorate Maison Towbee Bishop – Best over 9f, can race mile or 1.2m. Second last to make the stable. Bubbly Blazing – My 1.2F horses have dropped away, or hopefully it’s so competitive that none stand out. Only 2 over this distance, where other seasons I’ve had 4. Single Boat – Last picked, solid without being outstanding. Mainly picked due to the amount of races over this distance. Is the Mare/GrandMare to a few in the stable. Cadgers Ghost – I’m interested how he goes. Best over 1.4m by so much in my trials, but I have never been competitive over this distance. Was also the best 3YO over this distance too, but the 4YO version was much better. Has been breeding in game, but probably a few seasons away from seeing the benefits of. Looking at breeding was the real break through of mixing milers with 1.6f horses. Blazing Might – Is my best over 1.6F, will run a few races over 1.4F. Is Sire to many in the stable Dynamic Flips – My 2 miler. One of those horse I never paid attention too, but always is the best performer in my trials. Has Battle Satire in their line which was my first stayer good enough for the league. Bit of an outcross for my lines. Jelly Emery – 20F horse. This surprised me, jumped out at the last trial. After selected I went and looked at the breeding, Has Spellchecker Feeling on both sides, Might and Power on one side and both my previous best on other side.

Re: Season 17 - Stable Tours
Started a new game in January, and this could go either way if I'm honest. The new horses completely destroy my old game horses from last seasons league team. However, I've had false dawns like this before, an it can just be trial bias, which doesn't translate to League form. I've had to miss a lot of the last month too, so not got it where I want it. More hopeful than expectant this season 2yo's - These are all from the old game. Totally forgot about these when I've been saying only 1 horse from the old game made it. Simply put they just aren't very good 3yos - My 3yos are usually a fair way behind my older horses, this new game seems to be similar. I need to concentrate on breeding more from my good 3yos, rather than the 4yo trial winers Sluggish Violence - A last minute entry Miracle of Maldives - Could have easily been entered as a 4yo. my 3yo colt milers were very close though, so could be a sign they're average. They are well clear of last seasons lot though. Sensational Otto - Head an Shoulders above the rest of my 3yo Filly's. one of my hopes for a classic definitely Miracle of Narnia - Runs very well over 1m2 an 1m4. Big expectations, could easily have made my team as a 4yo too. Could pick up a classic, French or English Oaks. Very Good horse at home Sensational Strings - The one horse from my old game that isn't a 2yo afterthought. Was a very good horse in my original January trials when I used only my old game horses. An still wins my trials so very good sign. Usually that kind of longevity is a good sign for the league. 4yo's - These are usually my best horses, an this season seems to be no different. All from my new game, an most of my 4yo trials no longer have any horses good enough from my old game to get anywhere near them. SprintersSilly Little Style - The Grand Sire to my whole sprint operation. The first to beat all my old sprinters over 5f, an destroyed them. Would love to see him do well, but others have overtaken him in my trials. But still good enough to make the team, an everything in my sprint team bred from him Velocity World - Daughter of Silly Little Style. First Filly in my trials to compete with the Colts, an she overtook them. Very very high expectations over 5f Sluggish Tigress - Could easily be the best sprinter I've ever had. Complete monster over 5f and 6f. Could easily be the best horse I've ever had. Although being good over 2 distances means she could be a complete blowout too, my money's on superstar. Breeding is unreal, has Easy Destiny and Silly Little Style has Grandsires on either side. Velocity Sensation - Before Sluggish Tigress came along I would have had this down as the best Sprinter I'd ever bred, or possibly seen in the league. Bred from Silly Little Style again, but from a miler Mare (Miracle of Istanbul), also in the league. stats say she's a miler, but insane on dirt over 6f, an most other surfaces. May get a chance over 7f too Sensational Seller - Another from, guess who, Silly Little Style. Looks so good at times in my trials, but I have a nagging feeling it may not completely see out the 6f trip. If he does an I can fully trust my trials, could be in for a very good season MilersEasy Destiny - Very early 1m horse to beat the old game team. Stuck around for so long since, an was such a good breeder. Everything suggests he'll be suited for the league an still my best trialler. a lot of my team bred from this guy. Very hopeful Silly Little Investment - Probably gonna be a horse placed a lot. No great hopes Miracle of Istanbul - Same, not sure much beyond Easy Destiny will make much waves Middle DistanceSordid Sensation - My best overall 10f horse. bit of a superstar since getting him in my trials, big expectations, seems to get there a lot earlier than my old horses, but still stays strong, big hopes Sensational Knight - Weird horse, I always seem to prefer Sordid Sensation, but not sure why. They're very close when trialling, both numbers an visually, I just dont trust him as much for some reason Silly Little Desert - Old School type who stays on late. Seems to like dirt more than my others, but that could be a tough combo for the season over 10f Spectacular Cadou - 12f horse who always catches my eye in trials. Probably my Favourite horse over 12f, but seems to either win, or come nowhere, so not sure what to expect. Sordid Foundations - Much more consistent than Cadou, an statistically my best 12f horse easily. But still think Cadou could end up better Spectacular Blast - I have no idea about this one. Wasn't the best in my season trials, but showed up as good as the other 2 in my league trials. Could end up a handicapper tho Always like to look back on this an see just how wrong I was With that in mind, Ones to watch; Sprinters - A lot of good sprinters possible, but Sluggish Tigress could be the best of the lot Milers - Not expecting much from these , but Easy Destiny likely to be the best 10f - Sensational Knight, likely to be the most versatile an consistent, miles clear of last seasons lot, an recent trial winners 12f - Sordid Fondations for consistency, Spectacular cadou for a one off performance. Both miles clear of recent trials winners

That's 1 and half years away.

Re: Season 17 - Stable Tours
Hoping to not suffer from second season blues and looking to try and improve on my first season return of 20 flat wins and 4 NH wins and maybe snatch a group or grade win somewhere.
Completely new game save to last season with the exception of my Grand National horses, the new save appears to be a few lengths better than the old so I'm quietly confident of achieving my goals.
Flat 2yo - this was my worst category last season so decided not to concentrate on it this time. Left it until the end to see how many spaces I had left after filling the stable with 3 & 4yo's. The answer - just the one 2yo, a filly called Rich Glow. No idea if she is any good.
3yo - uploaded a total of 13 3yo's to my stable. Ones to watch - Our Benefit (6f), Delta Blues (1m2f), Magic Acorn (1m4f), True Colours (1m6f) & Pleasant Chance (2m)
4yo - the remaining 11 horses are all 4yo's. Ones to watch - Red Dwarf (1m2f dirt), Magical Sequence (1m2f turf), Rambling Star (2m+)
I think the stayers represent my best chance, although Our Benefit is my "juju" horse. The problem for her is that she will be racing against older horses.
NH I think my hurdlers could be okay, but I don't have too much hope for my chaser with the exception maybe of my National horses from the old save. That being said I should improve on last season's tally as I have a full stable of 30 horses at my disposal this time.
Hurdlers - my best should be Rare Edition - her 7yo version won over 2m2f in the pre-season trials however I have taken a gamble and uploaded her 4yo version to have a crack at the juvenile hurdle scene. Will be better at the 2m1f rather than the 2m. Others to watch are Another Destiny over 2m4f and Dream Weaver over 3m.
Chasers - going to skip straight to my National horses as none of the others stand out to be anything other than average. I've got 4 possible contenders for the Aintree race, the best of them being Closing Argument and Rocky Mountain Way. If I had to pick any other horse to watch out for I'd say Rare Impulse a 3m - 3m5f 7yo mare.
Best of luck to everyone!

Hi Paul I have never actually counted the number of 3yo, 3Up or 4yo races but I just have a feeling that your flat stable may be slightly unbalanced. The reason is the number of 3yo only races. There are lots of them in the first 6 weeks but after that I think there tends to be more 3Up races. I am speaking solely from my own stable but my 3yo horses can rarely compete with my 4yo horses in 3Up races. Best of luck, I hope your stable proves me wrong. Jim
