UKRA Week 1 League "Post Mortem Room" for Trainer
Author Message
Post
And the other thing about the ctrl alt delete, we all had one month to get our horses ready for the league this time around, why I will talk for myself if I didn't use the method, I would have been still on season 9 after restarting my game more then 15 to 20 times.

I for one wouldn't know how to breed like that kenny that why I like every trainer to train and breed their way, it just makes the league interesting.

I find that mares that have the blue triangle in most of there races pass this on to there offspring.

Yes then l think we can say that having Colts only races in some of the big group races is a good decision then. ESA with the debat if they better or not suppose the only way you could tell was to export then geld do the ctrl alt del thing and trial else no other way of knowing

I maybe running to risk of being called a cheat, I save my game around the 10th July geld everything I then gallop all my stable over 7f around the 20th and again on the 30th, I then skip to the 10th Aug export everything with instructions. ctrl alt del

I then trial all my 2yo's I will only keep about 20 of the 30 and sell the 10 that don't run well in the CK

I then trial my 3yo+ I will only keep a handful of the 3yo's

Once I load the game I'm back to the 10th July with no gelding's in my stable I sell what I'm not keeping. This way I'm not wasting time on horses that I won't be using.

Kenny your spot on....i do mine a little differently but basically the same...
It's not cheating -its smart thinking...why on earth shall we all play the same way?..also as i have stated-do you trainers really want to play all those hours for your horse-fav in the derby to get all worked up and finish last...simple solution...GELD....

Is there anyway to see if Gelding does improve your chances of winning? If this can be answered then it will settle debate! In my opinion races should be run to real life. Colts only Fillys only and so on and if a horse gets worked up and has a bad run then so be it!!!!! What does it really matter? theres bound to be a race the next week you can enter and maybe your horse will storm home. Would make the betting side of the league interesting as well!

I disagree hackett....I have never won the derby, guineas, etc...i want to play 50 seasons 3000 hours and know that my horse will run on its merits..Not think about cheryl cole
Thats my opinion...and i do understand yours...each one to there own i think...

The point I made about gelding is a lot of trainers are gelding their top class horses knowing full well the chances are that it will make them even more formidable in the CK - if that wasn't the case like some are saying then why do we have perfectly straight horses with great temprement being gelded? its the fact that when you geld an excitble horse in the game it improves them but when you geld a top class horse its just making them even better.

There shouldn't be a rule banning horses being gelded horses as its a part of the game but maybe you stewards should look into all the horses uploaded and check their temprement?

I will fight to the death to prove that gelding a horse improves their chances, I know this is 110% true given the hours I have played this game and anyone who wants to challenge this then bring it on - I am here all night.

The CTRL+ALT+DLT method, lets not even go there - its pathetic tbh.

I have exported the same horse as a colt and gelding and there is nothing in it when they run in the CK. The only thing I would say is if the colt has a normal disposition once gelded it will change to laid back and excitable disposition this will change also, this will help with the horse running to its best more of the time.

Last season was my first and I didn't geld any of my colts as I thought geldings wouldn't get into the Derby etc this season I have gelded everything to try and get closer to the top trainers.

If next season the Derby, 2000 etc were open to colts and fillies only IMO the top trainers would still win most of these races.

Sorry Colin, but when I said exactly the same thing last time, you were one of the three people who shot me down. How does that work??

People should be able to play how they want and until clear rules are brought in, which I hope they are not as everyone has their own style and it should stay that way, the use of the word cheating is misplaced.

I disagree and have proof it doesn't mate. It certainly did in SO2 though. SO3/SO4 are completely different to SO2. I have trialled thousands of horses and can you tell you mine don't improve being gelded nor did they in SO3.

Hopefully Mark can confirm horses DONT IMPROVE.

If only people put the effort they do into finding out what other trainers are doing into developing their own stable.
