Arguments surrounding the league have gone back as far as I remember. They are par for the course, but what's been destroying the league more so, is the poor atmosphere lately. It's become a horrid one of "suspicion". More and more people are being placed under the microscope as the seasons pass. Some found to be fiddling, but a greater percentage of the mails I got about "cheating", which came from a huge number of different sources, largely had absolutely no basis for the accusations. We need to get past this poor atmosphere of suspicion, annoyance, jealousy, etc, and get back to what the league once was, a great community of game players for the purpose of having fun.
I see absolutely no point in re-opening old wounds on what's been done in the past. If the league is to continue, which it will, it must be done with forward vision for the greater good. If you are not happy with how the league is run, or with decisions made, etc, then there is an option for you. Don't play in it. Everybody is welcome in the league, but the league also won't suit everybody. You can't keep everyone happy, that's life.
Now, the restart of the league is an inconvenience, but if it serves the greater good, by having security checks in place (we can take a baseball bat to that damned microscope) and allowing people some peace of mind, and we approach the game and league with a positive mindset and can play the game for fun, I'm all for it, which is why I'm supporting the current season coming to a halt.

Totally agree there Colm.
I don't really understand why anybody would have deleted a perfectly good and successful stable to play for the next season but it seems some have. I think there have been too many 'goings-on' this season for it to continue and too many things still hanging in the air. It's a shame that the players haven't been able to have too much input into what goes on but I think it's time to accept it and look forward to the new season of the league under a new management. Stop posting about lost horses and get playing to find some new Greats.
I'm sure people will disagree with this but I have been on this forum since SO2 and I think that the league has become too big a target for people. There are hardly any posts in the general discussion any more because everybody is playing and playing to get horses for the league. Maybe this break will give people a chance to relax and play it as a game again and enjoy discussing it with like-minded people on a website which is designed for exactly that.

SuperCat - sorry if my posts seemed like whinging, i stated that i wasnt gunna cry over spilt milk. the reason i started a new game was to produce even stronger bloodlines, or try to (not going well!!) and so to be more competitive in the league. Particularly i was just frustrated because i had just uploaded some nhc horses who were all running really well and had potential to win at the festival. I love the league and its only my first season which has been full of arguments so im sure i will love it even more in the future.
I have respected everything the new pres has said and have offered my support and help in any staff role needed, so if anyone is annoyed at my posts about losing horses then i apologise.
cheers

Just to clarify Hurricane and anybody else. I'm not annoyed at you, the post wasn't aimed at you personally. I still don't quite get why one would have deleted the game but that's probably just because we're very different people.
I hope you do find some good horses. In the mean time I'm sure the league will be better off for having a 'break' rather than to keep ploughing on with something that obviously isn't working.

SuperCat, it's funny how only my threads get closed either by you or westy, yet the offenders get to come in and mess my threads and get away with it, and for your information I did not direct any bad feeling towards rich but at the two clowns that had a go at me which was Esagent & Dancing Brave, I don't see anyone like you or westy repramanding them but of course it's easier to close peoples threads rather then repramand the culprits responsible, it's known that every time I am going to start a thread some child will come into it and trash it and you and westy will close it, do you call that fair? somehow I don't think so.
I am sorry but I had to address the truth, if you want to play the roll of a moderators, please do the right thing by all members so everyone can enjoy this forum, play fair I don't need to get attacked or called names everytime I start a thread it's disheartening.

To be honest JC l aint closed anything for a while as some points made by others deserved an answer, but the fact you are singling yourself out as being targeted is a strange 1. The fact that 3 emails l believe where sent out yesterday to members (which didnt include you!!) to ask them to tone down just makes your whole statement a lot of rubbish mate. You are not singled out at all and we have a couple of members returning from a short ban which again just puts holes in your comments.

I know a few stable lasses who have the game and I'll be talking them through on how to join the league, at least there is a few more people to join yet!

Look at the forum westy, most of the threads that are closed are mine mate, and I ask why, if I opened a thread and someone came in calling me names, wouldn't it be easier for you to repramand the culprit rather then closing the thread?
I am sick and tired of people calling me names and getting away with it, and please don't tell me that emails where sent out to people to tone it down as it's hear say, you should say it on the spot rather then close a members thread that is abiding by forum rules and I'am doing just that, me being targetted you say? what is wrong with people that don't like what I write just to leave my thread alone, is that asking to much of them? you don't see me going into their threads and calling them names or disrupting their threads do you? no! I wouldn't do that, so I ask you again, you are the moderator, please moderate fairly for the sake of all members.

You live in cloud cuckoo land JC. Address the truth, you'd struggle to address an envelope, so call me a child all you want but take a good look at the title of the thread you put up cus it reads like the work of a 5yo. My initial comment wasn't aimed at you, but it was your persecution complex that kicked into overdrive and it was you that then started it all off again so let's call an end to the 'everyone picks on me boo hoo hoo' crap for starters. If maybe you actually had something worthwhile to contribute, you wouldn't be faced with such animosity but seen as all you ever do is come wading in with your big spoon trying to stir things up one minute and telling everyone how much you respect them the next, I wouldn't hold out much hope.

Is it to hard for you to just don't come in to my threads Dancing Brave?
don't address me and I won't address you, what do you say?
I don't like you, and you don't like me, so lets keep our distances and don't address each other, ok Deal??

JC you are in no way being targeted. It has just happened that in a couple of the threads you have opened the in the last couple of days other people have come in and insulted someone else or something of that like and it had to be closed for the good of the population. After all this is meant to be a forum for all ages, some of the language used yesterday was definitely 18+.
Please don't be upset or angry. You did also state that you don't come into other people's threads and disrupt them and start calling people names. This was a thread that Rich started so you have in fact done exactly that. Please check your emails.
DB... Really???
If you have any further concerns JC, or anybody else, then I would suggest that you emailed one of the moderators so that the matter can be dealt with that way, rather than starting a public slanging match. (Contact details to be found on the General Discussion fourm)

Trust me pal we aint and these were sent out JC. Night wrote: wouldn't it be easier for you to repramand the culprit rather then closing the thread?
And lastly the reason why we dont usually do this is if we did tell someone to tone it down on here we would just get people not moderators jumping on the band wagon having there say too. Please dont say this would not happen as l have seen it. I just feel its more polite to do it privately if possible to show a bit of respect to the member. So please dont give me YOUR for the good of members speech as my opinion for the good of members you would not be around!!
