I didnt vote for anything concerning the league, the president was chosen and i have no idea how, no topics regarding whats going to happen concerning stable sizes, uploads ( how many windows ) what fixture list we will be using etc etc. Not really expecting much in the way of this september for the league to start to be honest but guess we will see. Main thing is the vast turn over of horses got to be cut down in my opinion which was all mentioned in other threads but no feedback from president maybe others know more!

JimCougar announced that rich would be taking over the presidency.
why doesnt everyone just wait and see what happens when rich is back from holiday - i think alot of the staff have been sorted, people are working on schedules for both leagues, which im sure wont just be group races.
alot of people will be unhappy if the league doesnt continue, including me, because ive spent some time working on my stable. so im sure the league will be up and running shortly, and without any modified files so all will be good again im sure.
just wait and see what rich says when hes back from his hols, im sure he'll give us a good update

This is kinda my point 2 or 3 months and we have heard nothing at all just dates flying around. Are we having new schedules for US are all 3 leagues running side by side, are longer races being added to US, Is the new 3 race rule being brought in??? this is the point lm making l dont know and l was playing last season so how are newbies supposed to know. I reckon we have probly lost some players just by not answering them and just saying check the forum. Ryan you as always are very positive and are 100% the keeniest player l have seen and thats fantastic but all the posts and questions you ask and you know about as little as l do to what is going on. On either forum there is diddly squat and now l would say its going to be october before season starts but who knows and to be honest who cares anymore. As you say all the top players who helped build this league and make it a good community have left, so what does that tell you

That tells me something is wrong, and i'd like to know why the top players have left, were they the ones cheating, did the cheating become to much and to blatent, i don't know? Maybe they did'nt have enough time to run the league?
Im just an old man, whos enjoyed entering horses in the league since season 2, but at least now i can understand why i never had many winners.
Its a shame that its ended this way, as im sure Mark would have prefered to enhance the game more (i.e. Better N.H, Better Horse movement, better AI) than throw all his eggs at the League / Race Builder only to watch it crumble from within.

Jackdaw-
I for one was not cheating!..My files were checked and they were clean as a whistle...I just think the league needs a break, you have some people i don't like who are always stirring trouble and i just feel the fun has gone from the league...
Rich may turn the league around and as he is the new president he must be given the chance but if things don't go as planned then i'm sure you will have another new president..
The league is like Pakistan cricket at the moment!....

thanks mike, i would like to think i am keen to see the league start again and for it to be successful - its nice to hear that other trainers know that. i dont think im ever gunna be a player who has a top top stable , but i play enough to get the odd win here and there. my main enjoyment comes from the league community as opposed to dominating races.
you are right, i have asked quite a few questions about the league, but i was of the opinion that i knew one or two of the answers people are looking for. im sure i will be corrected if i am wrong, but i thought all of the nhc staff were decided. i think we were looking for someone to assume the handicappers role!!
i believe the usra was going to be scrapped, and the uk and nhc leagues would be left and would include a larger number of races each week - the uk would include the big international races. maidens and hanciaps would be kept for both disciplines and feature each and every week. prize money for the nhc would be boosted thanks to the donation of dancing braves finances, perhaps to sponsor races in the same way paul did with the 'moores millions'
i am not sure about the 3 race rule and whether that would be implemented or not.
surely the most important thing is that the software is in place now to stop cheating, there are staff there to run the league, and schedules will be created - a number of trainers have volunteered to help put wonderful schedules together.
my personal opinion is that the only major changes that needed to be made were to stop the cheating, and that has been done successfully. rich knows how important the maidens, handicaps, and restricted races are to alot of trainers and they will still be there.
i also think a decision was made to reduce the number of upload windows so there was a lower turnover of horses during the league season, but perhaps the stable sizes would be increased due to the increase in number of races across 2 leagues

No Handicaps, No claimers, No sellers.............if these rumours are true guys, then the league has NO CHANCE!!!
Its such a shame, i really enjoyed getting involved but the way the new presidency was just handed to rich(got nothing against this fella, I dont even know him) by Jim Cougar screams favourtism!!!
Rich said he had the time needed to make the league a success, in reality he has acted upto now like the board of the club i support.......Sheffield Wednesday fc , he has given almost zero feedback to most of the community and thats why most players , including myself, have lost all interest.
Rich either start acting like the president you so wanted to be (Regualr updates are needed, Keep everyone in the loop at all times) or admit that it takes a lot more time and effort than you thought it would and let Steve have a go.

What makes you think that rumour is true?
Its ridiculous mate of course there are going to be handicaps , maidens, restricted races etc!!! People need to stop worrying about that coz it isnt gunna happen!
Altho saying that, rich is gunna need a couple of handicappers- not sure if he has any yet!!but surely all the trainers complaining abiut the possibility of not having handicaps means someone will volunteer

We'll see, Good luck with the new league guys, if it ever gets off the ground that is, I offered to get involved on numerous occasions but no one ever acknowledged my offer never mind contacting me.
I hope Rich pulls it off, if he dont then a lot of peeps will be left with egg on their faces.

I am afraid Rich is not the best at communicating to his congregation.
No date or anything else set at the moment Tomas.

HRM is nowhere near as good as SO. In my opinion. I wouldn't stop playing. Just don't put yourself out to get horses for the league. I'm in Mike and Steve's camp, but I hope we're proved wrong. It has been a huge disappointment. But don't hold you breath, but also don't give up on it. I think it will be a huge shame for the game for this go go downhill more than it already has.
Why don't you download/make a new schedule if you're bored of the game to give yourself new challenges having to start a new game and all. That's what I did in SO3. Good Luck.
