I'm back from holiday now.
Looking to get the league underway as soon as possible. The schedules will remain the same, there hasn't been a massive uptake of people putting new ideas forward and less people actually able to implement them fairly. As you know, pleasing everyone is very tough. Steve has said that he liked the previous season, the level of handicaps and group races and I agree with him. If it isn't broken I don't see the need to attempt a quick fix.
The other difficulty is the race secretary role. There have been some improvements made to make it faster but it's proving difficult to get the right people involved. Obviously, no race runners, no races.
I have had communication from some people but only people involved with the league so far (who have been great actually, thanks). If you want to volunteer some time for the league (up to an hour on the weekend) email me, soplpresident@gmail.com

Thanks Kenny, got that, I'll put together an outline of what it involves, warts and all, and send that over (just watching the football at the moment). If anyone else wants to get involved fire me an email.

lol rich, no offence bud, but you remind me of the president of pakistan while his country was drowning, he was having a champagne breakfast in the UK hahaha
hopefully you won't plan another holiday while the league is on or we all might suffer yet another seeyasta friend.
not for me, the uncertainty is shocking.

Don't think we want people like you in the league anyway, it's suffered enough immaturity already.
Oh, no offence taken by the way. Take care.

So when u say the schedules are staying the same does that mean the same number of races across the 3 different leagues, with the same stable sizes??
This is just to clarify btw, i wudnt be complaining if that was the case

1- who's we?
2- you say suffered enough? and by who's hands mr president?
great community, but a lousy leader, when you show leadership in here then you will have the rights to your cheap lines, before then, I wouldn't be so cocky if I was you mr president.

I agree with Rich, when the league is sorted it will start, there is no benefit in have little pops at him like a spoilt kid. He probably booked his holiday well before he took over as the president and you have to understand how much work and time is required from the various helpers to make the league run smoothly.

The only change I would make is to have some 0-110 handicaps in addition to what is already on offer.
Slightly disappointed the USA league will not have any new impetus as was suggested.
So in that respect I would say you are more like the coalition - not delivering on promises made pre election .
Good luck with the league though.

So No Changes to be implemented at all then? Stable sizes, upload windows, transfers of horses to other leagues all this is to stay the same i take it, Wasnt exactly what i was expecting thought there was gonna be some changes but i guess changes can wait a season just to kick things off again!

I agree with you Steve, I think the US has a massive amount of potential but I think it needs a massive overhaul if it's to attract the right type of player and present a different challenge to UKRA. I have big plans for it but want to get the league underway asap.
Other option is not to run it at all but that's a step back in my opinion.
Stable size etc. is good, the league is a success as much as some would like to say otherwise and whilst not perfect it's not too shabby either.
Didn't realise the coalition existed before the election though Steve to make any promises!
