A pretty decent week for me with 2 winners and a few others running well.
I had high hopes for Home Front (race 8) at the start of the season but she just hasn't been good enough until this week where she managed to get her head in front in a G3 h/cap. Now rated 93 it's going to be tough to find races for her from now on. Likely to be retired as soon as I find something half decent.
My other winner this week, Bulletproof (race 13) has also been slightly disappointing in recent weeks but showed he does have some ability in a maiden sprint. He was slowly into stride and I thought he would run into traffic problems as the race developed but the gaps came at the right time and he managed to stick his nose in front and hang on.
Of my other runners, Vimy Ridge (race 1) ran really well to finish 2nd behind behind Fine Line in a mile maiden. Fable (race 5) ran another cracker to finish 4th in a gr2 and Davy Lad ran well finishing 5th in a Gr1.
Flying Spirit (race 9) didn't have the best of draws but was never involved at any stage. For some reason this one only seems to raise an effort in Group races! Free Spirit (race 12) ran ok to finish 3rd in a Gr3 h'cap but like Home Front, I expected this one to perform better in the league and is another candidate for retirement. Last and probably least is Dads Army (race 19) who was never competitive in a maiden allowance and retirement beckons for this one as well.
Well done all winners and placers.

A shocking week for me, had a few place getters
The rest ran very poorly. Danger Moon is just rubbish on grass and I had half a dozen that we checked or short of room many times during races (Big Steak, Flintoff,Mikeal D Haguent may have won with good runs). I had 9 runners drawn high which didnt help grrr always next week
Merry xmas to everyone in the league

Grats to all winners and placers
I had a nice week with 4 wins and 2 2nds. The only disappointment was Afterlife (Race 6). She did finish 2nd which is nice I guess. The disappointment was she was 3 1/4 behind winner Capacity. She does prefer dirt but last week she was also 2nd on dirt so not sure what her problem is.
Merry xmas too all
