Well in this case l would put forward the idea that we dont have any Uploads after week 2. As season will only be 12 weeks it shouldnt be too long to wait for new trainers. I very much like a lot of ideas from Steve and l will volunteer to become a steward again for the sole purpose of identifying wrong distance horses to take some of the workload off the hcapper. I would use same rules as before which is for example

HORSE NAME PREF DIST
Westy Back Marker 6f

This horse would be able to run at 5f/6f and 7f BUT it could not go from a 5f race straight to a 7f race it would need a run at 6f in between and exactly the same in reverse i.e 7f dropped to 5f would not be allowed. This system would only be used for Hcap races only and a step up from 5f to 7f would be fine in a group race.

Would definitely appreciate the help if we do need to do it manually but it would be good if TOM could do it automatically, will ask dodgy.

Sorry guys forgot im 7 hrs behind you...

like Steve's idea's although good for UKRA...not so sure about NHC

h'caps set into limits ie 40-60 rated etc.. is a must for NHC

as i have pointed out a few times b4 it would help the lower horses

get established into a mark and where they can move up without clogging

the grade races

compacting into 12 weeks is good if we dont lose the better race meets

and their races we would like to see whole meets covered with comms

which is what we are planning to do if given the go ahead for running the

league ourselves again..no disrespect to Rich as we want to set up races ,

schedules, etc as we want to as we feel we know NH racing better then

most people...if Rich will allow Ryan,Craig & myself to run the league as

we see fit with full consultation with Rich on a season & weekly basis

all this will be run under rich's office...

i personally would like to see the USRA & UKRA be put together as one

league and Steve's ideas look good for this and it would be gr8 to see the

Newsletters back from Steve with a little help from the various stables

giving interviews and stories for it...

I hope we can work all this in time for the restart so it is vital to be given

a quick go ahead from Rich if he see's fit

as always if anyone wants to contact me can do via

laurel_racing@yahoo.ca

this account is set up only for league communication and not personal..

Are you ok to work on the schedule Paul with myself mate.

We could chat via Skype if thats ok.

All we need is the green light from rich to start on the schedule and getting some staff in place for next season

All the best with the wedding mate big congrats.

Think i've played about 15 seasons so far am into 2108 or something like that.

Slowly but surely improving my jumpers. Gonna be a lot more competitive next season i think.

Looks like il be aiming my lot for the Handicaps

Rich I too like EPW's ideas but how do you implement whether a horse can run 7f or 6f or 8f??
Personally like the idea of having 30 races per week for the flat breaking it up say into 2 releases per week i.e. Thursday (Old US league) and Friday. Thirty in one go is too much. Please give Steve the go ahead to do a schedule. Nothing is set in stone and we can always tweak Steve’s schedule if minor changes are needed to be made. I'm sure Steve wouldn’t mind as long as he knows that some changes might be needed even though minor.

For eg I feel strongly about 4yo+ racing. We need a few more races in this area maybe 1 or 2 more towards the latter part of the season with maiden and or hadicap thrown in and at least a group event in week 12 at least. We could restrict it to 8f, 10f & 12f races only. In Australia we have an abundant of races that cater for 6 and 7f too if needed!!

What do you think steve? The first number is the week of the UK flat last season. As you can see there is nothing in week 9,10 & 12!! A Lot of new trainers do have 4yo+ horses which the game does spit out on a regular basis and new trainers have a good amount of these. Just my thoughts.

Hi Scatters,

Hope you are well.

My idea is to keep to 2YO, 3YO Only, & 4+ races in the first six weeks, then have more 2YO and 3+ races in the second half of the season where the champions from each age group clash. More rated handicaps, but still quite a few listed and group races.

First two weeks will all be maiden races, and then no more maidens after this due to a no upload rule after week two.

Obviously still waiting for the green light from Rich, before I start - although I have done the first two weeks already.

Will take a closer look at your race requests later, but they tie in with my plans so should be fine.

Could you send me the Australian schedule. speight921atbt internet.com

Steve

Hi Scatters, this is basically mate down to the trainer and what PREF DIST the horse is uploaded at, now if its uploaded as a 6f horse it can run at 7f and 5f and that is it.
