Grand National 2012
Any thoughts on this years Grand National? If I was a better I would have taken synchronised after he won his Lexus, and now he has won the gold cup in the way he did, he is the horse for me. Anyone else got any clear ideas on who they think will win?

Giles Cross if he gets in, Always Waining loves Aintree and Junior.

Nicolaus Silver won it in 1961 and was the last grey to win it, the only other grey to win the National was the lamb who won it twice in 1868 and 1871.

So it is quite a while since the last one then- decades not years!

Re: Grand National 2012
Don't know much about this Junior, what has he won? Would be nice to see Chicago Grey win, but ultimately would love to see Synchronised win, best horse in the race and he would get the rare Gold Cup/Grand National double, which would be great for racing.

Re: Grand National 2012
Always Waining intersts me as does Kilyglen. The latter fits all the key trends and was bang there before falling a few from home last year (if memory serves me correctly).
I like Chicago Grey but not sure I like his chances of staying upright as he isnt always the best jumper and being a hold up horse it increases the likelihood of being brought down. He would be right up there though if he can stay on his feet.

Great flat horse, taken well to jumps, stays forever will be bang there if luck is with him as you need some in a National.
