John Durkan memorial chase
While the english were getting all watery at the mouth with regards to Bobs Worth's victory in the hennesy at the weekend, three of irelands top 2nd season novice chasers were preparing for battle at punchestown on sunday.. namely Sir Des Champs, Hidden Cyclone and Flemenstar... im literally dripping from my jaws at this prospect... anyone else?? And who you think will come out on top?

Re: John Durkan memorial chase
I doubt Hidden Cyclone will run before the Lexus, Flemenstar is most certainly the one to be on in the John Durkan but the Lexus is where we will learn something.

Re: John Durkan memorial chase
still waiting on flemenstar beating something decent rathlin, blackstairmountain, notus de la tour call the police, bog warrior, big zeb the pensioner think sir des champ has more talent, more ability, more class just a question of fitness and distance on sunday as reckon he will be brought along slowly but he is the only future gold cup winner in the race

Re: John Durkan memorial chase
He might be the only potential gold cup winner in the field but I still think flemenstar is a classier individual.

Re: John Durkan memorial chase
There is no doubt that flemenstar is the better jumper of the two, and because of that along with a recent run i'm going to side with him on sunday. but they are both obviously very classy individuals. We will have a clearer idea come sunday

Re: John Durkan memorial chase
Will be going for SDC in the gold cup however i doubt he will be anywhere near his best on Sunday and use this as prep run for the Lexus.
Im going with Flemenstar over this trip and the fact he has had a run this season already.

Sprinter Sacre is only having 2 more runs this year Ubar, The Victor Chandler at Ascot followed by the Champion Chase in March at the Festival. Dont think he will go 2m4f ever...they have Finians Rainbow or Riverside Theatre for that..
