Is there any way of cheating to get more money, I have a career mode and its going really well only ive ran out of money and am in minus, and its a jumps owner mode so there is no way i can make the money back even if i win everything.

You can always go to the races and note down every horse that wins by, say, more than 3 lengths, then quit without saving (you can just click the X in the top right window corner), load your game up again and bet all your money on the horse/s who won last time. Sometimes you'll lose all your money, but just exit the same way as above and try again.

i was told that putting all my horses on the first auction (unless there is a decent one) and skip the auction day to get better cash....for trainer games i find that a large number of races are won quite simply by the highest rated horses (its made me a fortune without having to quit and restart)

I cant bet because i am in the minus money so i dont have money to bet and i cant put my horses to the auction because its an owner mode game

I dont like to cheat, but this career is going great and theres no way of making money in jumps mode, is there anything like artmoney that i can use?

I'm sorry to say but I think you are stymied on this one.
Suggest you start again and cheat at races as already explained by Sabella.
Build up a few million first. I personally do not consider this cheating as only
people with millions or large companies can indulge in owning/racing horses.
Perhaps view this as adjusting the game to a more real situation.
Assure you this is only my opinion and no wish to influence your own ethic's.
As you are doing so well at this part of the game albeit no money. If you have
success next time, perhaps you could give us a guide as it is indeed difficult
playing 'trainer only' mode. All the best

Yeah thats what i do on the start of a new game look at all the horses you get keep your best one and sell the rest, 2yr olds tend to go for 400k+.

not sure if it happens in owners mode but you can go to finance screen and get a loan in ordinary game

So as you can see this problem is a long standing one. MARK introduced this mode in S.O.5 as a experiment I believe and it obviously needs updating or binning.
