 1 year olds! Help appreciated
Hi guys, I just had a quick couple of questions about 1 year olds. I have noticed that when they first come into your stable they have certain stats but when they turn 2, these stats can change dramatically. Often dramtically worse! So far I've run the game without training as Im getting used to it, although I can still train them on the flats and jumps etc. but I dont think that makes a difference? So my question is, is this normal for stats to change? Should I train 1 year olds? Should they just sit there all season or go straight out to grass as they cant race until they are two anyway Sorry for the questions and thanks in advance if you take the time to share your advice. Literally the best management game I've ever played, bravo to the developers

You know what Craig, Im glad you said that because in SO5 that's what happened but for some reason in SO6 they go into my stable and do nothing all season unless I put them out to grass.
Could this be a bug? I have just started a new game but when I get to breeding stage I will post a screenshot of this. Has anyone else had this or do all of your horses stay in the breeding barn at 1 year old?

As you can see, 1 year old in the stable and not in the breeding barn. Is this a bug guys, it's really confusing me!

This only seems to happen in the combined schedule games. I have this happen to when playing a combined game.

I don't suppose there was ever any fix to this? I really like the combined games and prefer to play that. I've tried re-installing but no luck, still get the 1 year olds going straight into the game.
Another thing I've noticed is that 2 year olds (and 1 year olds in my case!) never have any jumping ability, does that develop later on or should they start with some. I've even bred 2 National winners and their foals all started with little or no jumping ability.
Very grateful for any responses.

Is your game up to date with the patches? If not update it, if it is then post on the technical support forum, this was fixed (as far as I knew) months ago.
Most of mine have zero jumping ability, but that doesn't stop them winning jumps races.

Thanks for your reply I'm all up to date with the patches, still getting the 1 year olds. I did send my save game to admin a long time ago but no reply. It's odd that foals have no jumping ability but can still jump. :/ I LOVE this game, I've bought every one, but these two things are a tad off putting.

you get 1yo's in the combined it has been mentioned before I wouldn't train them just put out to grass for a year then keep the 2yo's the following year. And again put the 2yo's that are going to be stayers or bumper horse's out to grass I always use easy mode and never train has far as I Know training doesn't improve stats on the horses racing them and age does.
